Current admin wants to forbid importation of lower cost medicines for senoirs, (who are the people most affected), and every person in the us.
Claim is.. imported drugs are unsafe.
I ask a question.
How come majority of flu vaciine is imported from the U.K. ?? Aren’t imported drugs unsafe?
This year U.S. (per the news) will lack half the flu vaccines needed.
Is this sort of a synonym to the old ryme…Goosey, goosie gander?
I came up with an idea about imported medicines.
A dollar tariff into the U.S. 25% toward the country the medicine derives from..75% toward the pharmacuetical company that creates the drug.
This dollar tarriff on top of possible profits earned by the company importing the medicines.
Hell even 2 bucks would be allright by me .... if that 2 dollars went to the right places.
So the money goes to whoever is saving regular people dollars on purchasing..and some benefit going toward those who are able to produce the medicine cheaper..and some toward those who create the medicine.
Is ^ a good idea?
The Drug companies wouldn't think that's a good idea. If they make $50 when a consumer buys their product in the U.S. and only $30 when he or she imports it from Canada a $2 tariff doesn't mean squat to them.
And what politician is going to call for tariffs on medication? That’s politically suicidal.
Another lie from this administration about the safety of drugs from Canada. They have teamed up with their buddies in big pharmaceutical companies to rip off Americans. They say that Canadian drugs are not safe but this Govt is buying drugs for Vietnam veterans from Canada. So it is safe for them but not for the American people. What a hypocrisy? FDA got a slap in the face last week when an American Drug Vioxx , a pain medicine, turned out to be causing heart attacks among patience. American drugs are safe? Yah right.

Damn greedy companies..
But what if the tariff was non-taxable monies?
25% of the tariff earmarked for the cheapest producer..
and 75% of the tariff earmarked for study and developement...
Every penny used toward cost of developing new meds.
Yeah..ok..I'm dreaming of a rose colored world.
This tariff is one paid by the purchasers..not the exporter or the developer. The tariff is paid by the people who benefit from the meds.
Sort of the shipping and handling cost..but the shipping and handling serves a just purpose...
The people buying the imported meds..are purchasing at lower cost that benefits them, producers and developers?
Ok..allright..politcally incorrect idea.
