So those of us who enjoy tea as a regular drink through the day .. It may be important to note that you may not be brewing your tea enough for it to release the anti oxidants ..
If you only let your tea brew for a minute and then take the teabag out , you are doing it wrong
As per research its advised that let the tea bag remain in the water for at least 3-5 minutes because it is only then then the antioxidants are released from the tea and makes your cup of tea not only more enjoyable but healthy too
Re: Health Tip - Obtaining anti oxidants from your daily cuppa ..
Yay! I brew my green tea for 3-5 minutes. Milk destroys the benefits, so I avoid adding it to the tea. The kettle I use comes with preset boiling temperatures for whatever tea you're trying to make, so that helps. And when my tea is luke warm, that's when I add raw honey so the heat doesn't kill the wonderful nutrients in the honey.

Straw, thanks for sharing that .. you mentioned about varying temperatures .. does that mean that every tea has its own specific temperature it should be brewed on to make a healthy drink?
Also, supposing someone likes their drink super hot , will the microwave heat kill the nutrients in the drink?
