I am having some stomach problems and its not getting any better. Its it okay if I skip some rozas for my disorder to get better?
What are the rules of keeping fasts and health problems?

yeh same here i havent made it up , but inshallah i will this time .
Re: health problems and ramadan
I have alwasy been told that if you are genuinely ill, and are required to take medicine then to not fast. However, every conceivable effort should be made to make up any fasts that are missed.
Maybe this should be moved to "Religion" forum??
Re: health problems and ramadan
I have GERD- acid reflux and was always cautioned by my doctors to be really careful during ramadan.
Reflux can be treated by meds BUT if you have long periods without food and then loads of food b4 you sleep you have more potential for acid reflux which causes scaring on your esophagus and can permanently injure your throat/esophagus/stomache...
Whie fasting i had to be very very careful and take extra meds at night...tums etc along with my perscription meds. I also could never have fried/fatty or tomato based foods.
I would try to not do it daily or try to give your stomache abreak every few days. Allah knows your intentions and does not want fasting to harm you and if it does that is not good.
Re: health problems and ramadan
Thanks Amelie for the detailed answer.
I normally dont have problems, but this year I have a stressfull schedule, work, childcaring, taking extra courses/meetings that are falling in ramadan.
During day I am getting cramps in my stomach and my digestive system has stricked, its not working properly. Maybe I am not taking any fruits right now.
I try to avoid fried food, just one samosa / or 2-3 small pakoras. But not everday, sometimes days otherwise its normal food, one roti and baked patties ect..
Yesterday after iftari, I took desi 'pakhi' and an apple with skin. I hope this will help.
Thanks all.
