Health Insurance; suggestions please ..

I have got a comprehensive company medical cover for me and my family. But the problem is regarding the maternity care. Expacare had 10 month waiting over maternity and after that its all covered.

We have been in little bit confusing situations. On some visits the hospital didnt charged us anything and on climax time when it my wife was hospitalized they turned back and said that she is not covered for maternity. And that the waiting period expires in ten days.

Its very confusing for me… if my wife was not covered for maternity then should not be paying anything however few expensive ultrasounds and other routine checkups were always taken from expacare and the insurance company didnt came back in 9 months declining payments. On the other hand they refused cover for normal or c section delivery.

Any one here having similiar experience with Expacare or anyother health insurance company.

I dont know expacare, I'm in usa .... but generally health insurances work the same. Routine care, where you go have checkups and tests is different from when you are admitted into the hospital. Most plans have a deductible that the patient has to pay when they are admitted into the hospital. Do you have a copy of the policy? Or do they have a website? You can look up the sections on "Hospitalization" to see all the details.
