Anyone has any experience of getting health insurance for any family members (like parents, inlaws…or a person in an age group above 55 years) who visit them in USA,from Pakistan/India?The visit is short term (3-6 months) and the person visiting is not a US citizen.
Any experience and suggestions will be appreciated.
Yes, I have gone with Visitors Coverage and G1G ( on separate occasions). You will need to decide between limited or comprehensive coverage. Comprehensive is much more expensive but provides better coverage. Limited is good for emergencies, but will not cover simple things like say toothache. Send me a PM if you need additional details.
There is also coverage that covers up to $50000 and costs around $10 per day with choice of deductible. Comes to around ~ $3000 per person for 6 months. If you own a house and the visitor gets hurt in the house then usually your house insurance also pays upto $5000 for medical payments given that you are in US.
