He Said/She Said Topics

Throughout the wedding preparation process there are points of tension between the guy’s side and the girl’s side. Let’s list all the topics that can be sources of confusion or conflict, and then we’ll share the perspectives from the bride’s side and the groom’s side for each of these. Hopefully this series of threads will help those planning their weddings!

I’ll start:

  • meher
  • jahez
  • who makes the bridal outfit?
  • who hosts the mehndi?
  • how many guests to invite?
  • where to hold the wedding?
  • which rasams to do and which to avoid?

Re: He Said/She Said Topics

how can we do barat and valima in a same day!! is this islamically right??

Re: He Said/She Said Topics

^ Islamically there is just 1 reception. Are you trying to say that that the baraat function is "Islamic"? It might be cultural and there's nothing wrong with it but it's definitely not required.

Re: He Said/She Said Topics
