I have always wondered why people that are not limited by their religious belief, ever get married. The guy has never been with a woman in his entire life and yet promotes the misogynistic pre conceptions of earlier societies which justified opression and control of women.
My young associates is telling me that he is seeing a reversal in trends where guys are on hands and knees begging for marriage and females are refusing. Since women are doing better financially, they dont need that safety net of financial security. Finances dictate a lot of norms of society.
You are a bit behind times, most women are financially very secure now, more so than men and as I mentioned before in the 20s its guys pursuing marriage and not girls. In Islam men can marry four, say talak 3 times without financial consequences and replace the same night and are also allowed Londis, buy, sell and trade so it seems that the lady is limited to one and for the man, its raining women!!

Anyways, very few women are financially secure unfortunately. Western countries make up less than 15% of the world total population, and if you dig further down, you’ll realize that less than 60% of those women aged 16 and above are working, of which less than 1/3rd have any kind of careers. The latter statistic is not to dissimilar to men, as there are far fewer management positions than clerical.
Do you even know the Islamic code of conduct when it comes to marriage and talak? Neither party has the right to give, or ask in the case of women, for a divorce without a valid reason. And what financial consequences are you talking about? Women have the right in Islam to demand financial reparations if their husband initiates the divorce proceedings. Most Muslim divorces these days aren’t even done properly. I wouldn’t even be surprised to find out that a huge percentage of the “divorcees” are still considered married under sharia.
Lastly, there is no buying and selling of women in Islam, I don’t know where you get your information from.
