if he's not piling on the kilos then dont worry... maybe suggest some healthy alternatives... but JUST fruit and nuts in a day for a guy is not enuff..

May be you are the ONE who is subconsciouly picking these fat men because --- again, subconsciosly -- you like the idea of looking tiny in the arms of large men. Think about it. Thank me later.

Well, people amazingly diverse responses.
this was a trap.
i am doing a qualitative study on the impressions of young people, on the perceived (not real) effects body image of their, boyfriends - as a function of sustained, content relationship.
so far, just from ur'all responses, here, it seems like that this particular sample in sensitive to the personal eating needs of a given over-eating boy friend, that the physical aspect is only secondary to other levels of connection and liking in a relationship, that men (dope, sadzz and Lusi) i presume, like to have it on equal footing.
it is fair to hear men as well.
Societal imperative of equality begs this: when women are supposed to be slender, smart and in shape, why men can't be?!
won't we want everyone to be proper, genuinely and not just be proper because it is demanded of them? just for the sake of impressing others and not eating for some time, is not what is good or right. it has to be consistent.
someone also said exactly where his/her minds was - yes slimmer men and women do have better intimate relation and it is viable for matrimonial reasons, but, the point is just the effect of body image and eating habits, on the quality of relationships.
furthermore, girls recommended that let him eat, make him use alternative diet, slowly wean him off of larger proportions of food in take... all is great, but if the innocent looking churning soft belly is happy, when u can see that he is enjoying every bit of that 6th piece of meat, 3rd nan, 2 glasses of shake or another summer drink, and then has to have kulfi falooda twice, what do i do??
no this particular boyfriend for the purpose of the study - i shall say - has manners, so he does not smacks his mouth when he eats, he wipes his mouth after almost every bite, likes to be pretty natural with mannerisms, eats with knife and fork and takes large proportion - somehow he seems to finish it all, without looking like he is gulping food down, thoughtlessly.

with many thanks on ur comments and reflections. may be my analysis and points of conceptual understanding about the research topic will provide further talking points for us all to look at things in reverse - i.e., in terms of men’s' body image.
