Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique r.a

Re: Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique r.a

If anyone has doubt on the truthfulness of Khulfa-e-Rashideen, just ask them what are the names of the martyrs of Karbala. There were Abi Bakr, Umar, Uthman and Ali.

Husayn ibn Ali, Chief of the Army and the grandson of Islamic Prophet Muhammad
Abbas ibn Ali, a half-brother of Husayn ibn Ali and the Commander of the Army
Ali al-Akbar ibn Husayn, a son of Husayn ibn Ali and Umm-e-Laila
Ali al-Asghar ibn Hussain also called Abdallah, the six-month-old baby boy of Husayn ibn Ali and Bibi Rubab
Umar ibn Ali, a half-brother of Imam Hussain and full brother of Hazrat Abbas ibn Ali
Ja’far ibn Ali
Uthman ibn Ali, brother of Hazrat Abbas
Qasim ibn Hasan ibn Ali

Re: Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique r.a

It is speculation on your part to think that way. There were dozens of people with the name Umar in Arabia. For example Umar ibn Abu Salama was a strong companion of Ali. Imam Ali is recorded in the books to have named one son of his as Uthman in memory of Uthman ibn Nath'un who was a companion of the Rasool Allah and later on of Ali's. As for Abu Bakr then that is kuniyat and not a real name meaning the father of Bakr.

Re: Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique r.a

Peace Surdar Asif

Which implies Abu Bakr ibn al-Hasan was specifically named after the first Khalif ... It was a kunya also of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (RA) ... names are generic - I give you that ... but this kunya was specific ...

Re: Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique r.a

Abu Bakr is a generic kuniyat with Bakr meaning virgin and from what I read online Bakr is normally name given to the oldest child. You are free to speculate that Hasan was impressed from Abu Bakr despite Abu Bakr's treatment of his mother and even self regret from the former on his deathbed. I will be speculative too and say that Hasan named his son in the memory of his adoptive brother, the great Mohammad bin Abi Bakr.

Re: Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique r.a

So when the original Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (RA) passed away, his "great" (as you put it) son Muhammad bin Abu Bakr was adopted by Sayyiduna Ali (RA) ... and in the honour of his adopted brother's father, Al-Hasan (RA) named his own son Abu Bakr ???

Still very specific to me !!!

Re: Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique r.a

No & No.
Anyway, allow me to stay out from this discussion which intends to highlight the merits of Abu Bakr.

Re: Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique r.a

You are most welcome ... If we can't praise someone, better to stay silent than try to defame them ...

P.S. Seeing that we are praising people here ... I would like to praise Sayiduna Ali (RA) for personally adopting the son of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (RA) ...

:)

Re: Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique r.a

Defaming is when something is said falsely. In the context of this discussion I am a little amused that you have said that. I wonder what will be the right word for false praising?

Imam Ali married the windoow of Abu Bakr too by the way so it is a double praise for Ali who yet again showed the elevation of his personality. And what a son he raised in the form of Mohammad who stayed loyal to Islam until he was killed by Muawiya.

Re: Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique r.a

Abu Bakar was a general kuniyat like others. From Tarikhul Khawwas these are at least 9 Abu Bakars from that era:

Abu Bakr bin Abdur Rahman Mukhdhoomee
Abu Bakr bin Hamam al Hameeree
Abu Bakr bin Muhammad bin Muslim Qurshee
Abu Bakr bin Abi Maleeka al Timeemee
Abu Bakr bin Sireen
Abu Bakr bin Marwan ibn Muhammad al Thathree
Abu Bakr Younis bin Bakeer al Shaybanee
Abu Bakr al Bahili
Abu Bakr al Sakhthayanai

From what I understand though that the name Mohammad, Mustafa, Ali, Fatima, Hasan, Hussain were exclusive names that no one else had before these personalities.

Re: Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique r.a

Peace Pathan Bhai

Where can I find the bio - of these people, specifically who they were, what they did and which of the Sahabah they knew, which books reference their names. Google uncle fails to show them unless they are listed in responses on Shi'a websites or forums ... but I'm looking for background information on each ... can you help?

Re: Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique r.a

Ok I have found - Abu Bakr Ibn Sireen - It is the kunya of the famous Imam Muhammad Ibn Sirin:

Born 2 years before the end of the Caliphate of Sayyiduna Uthman (RA) ... I'm sorry but this name we can take out of your list since it does not qualify ... For all we know Abu Bakr was a kunya for Ibn Sirin in honour of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (RA) ... But let's look at the others too.

Re: Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique r.a

It might still qualify. When was Abu Bakar the son of Imm Hasan born?

Re: Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique r.a

Imam Hasan (RA) was about 8 years old when Sayyiduna Muhammad (SAW) passed, then a further 8 years when Hz. Fathima Zahra (RA) passed, making Al-Hasan (16 years old) - provided he married then and his eldest son was "Abu Bakr" ... then it would be minimum about this time - which is well in to the Caliphate of Hz. Uthman (RA) or even Hz. Ali (RA) ... why?

To help you ... I'm looking for people with the kunya "Abu Bakr" at the same time as "Abu Bakr (RA)" or earlier ... this explosion of "Abu Bakr" as the kunya of people came after As-Siddique ... (RA)

Re: Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique r.a

.

Re: Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique r.a

peace psyah

I read that Hazrat Fatima (RA) passed away after six months of the Prophet (SAW).

Re: Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique r.a

If ibn Sirin was born 2yrs before the end of 3rd caliphs rule as u have stated then Imam Hasan would be close to or past 40's in age. Another correction; Fatima Zahra passed away 6 months after her father

Re: Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique r.a

If asking for reference can offend people here then i dunt think its the best idea to discuss his personality on this forum anymore.

PS: None of ur posts relate to what i was asking, I wanted a source for a hadith that was mentioned in opening thread… It was provided sources but technically they rnt same, as wording was different in sources provided.

Re: Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique r.a

Of course that’s true - I didn’t think … That wiki site needs clarifying :naraz:
