Re: Having kids
Nik, please explain to your friend that her body has a right on her. She should recover from the last pregnancy and allow some healing time/grieving time before contemplating on getting pregnant. The long term effects of ongoing pregnancies are not healthy or good for anyone. As for wanting a son then yes its her right to want what she does not have. However, people should know when to give up. I have a few true life stories from people to share......I will share them when I have time inshallah.
where the stupid man in this scenario and i wouldnt call sister is sister in this family, how can she do that to her own brother.
…its their personal problem…
Re: Having kids
[EMAIL="D@rkNgt"]D@rkNgt, you are right, at the end it's their personal problem, but she did seek some opinions so I thought I'd ask you all.
Looks like she is getting some tests done.

Re: Having kids
I know off a 28 year old woman who has 5 daughters, her youngest is 2 and oldest is 13. She was married young, she has many health issues. She also has weight issues, but more than anything she is so upset about the fact that she doesn't have a son that she would cry in a gathering to get sympathy. She has 5 sisters and one brother......she thinks that her mother had a son after 5 girls and so would she next time she gets pregnant. When you ask how she would manage the next pregnancy/child? She casually says that her oldest daughter (13 year old) would help out. My concerns are that she should be encouraging the the 13 year old to study instead of playing mother to younger siblings. Furthermore, I am sad to see someone of her age to be so concerned about what people say about her not having a son, she says that people mock/watch her to see if she will produce a son! As if the man (sperm) don't have anything to do with it!
I know its good to have a balance in life including male/female children but to obsess about the situation and cry in public! I mean the prophet Mohammed (P.B.U) didn't have a son that survived he had daughters....
Re: Having kids
Yes.....its good to have a son as he would become your mahrim later on, but how do you change people's attitudes to the fact that girls should not be treated like second class citizens and not looked down up on! The reward for bringing up two or more daughters in a good manner is paradise.....why do our people forget this and start making comments/mistreating their daughters?
