I think thats an excellent idea i plan on doing it as well. Its very important to have a pecific room where you know its paak saaf. Inshallah i plan on putting Islamic books in the same area. I would honestly like my kids to learn islam to the best of their potential- Inshallah.

i agree abt the paak saaf place,in that room no one goes with chappals,its kept clean,there r no pictures,ja namaaz is always there alongwith quran and other books.by room it doesnt mean u close the doors n its sound proof n all that,it simply is a place jo har waqt paak saaf ho.cleanliness is half the religion.

homes with small children have a totally different aroma than homes with adult children .

I think its good to have a place allocated for prayer coz it will reassure you that there is one place where you're comfertable and can have peace of mind in.
it can show your kids the importance of Paakeezgi in that area and the importance of our deen. this is a good idea if you have enough room and if not then there shouldnt be a problem aswell.

i think its a better idea to pray where the children can see u so they can learn too…

i pray in the same room where my son is playing…
he is yet short of 2 years, but he knows how to pray (takbeer, folding hands, rukoo, sajda, sitting in qaada, duaa, tasbeeh) even if its just actions and he might not be doing them in proper sequence, but he is learning…

if i hide in a prayer room and pray alone, i think it will be dificult to teach the child later…

My ammee would always pray in our room, even for Fajr when we were little kiddies.. I remember her making a point to pray in our room so when we wake up, we know that we have to pray instead of her asking us… and phir unkey liye humein uthaana bhi asaan hoo jata thaa..

I think its a great thing that you are doing to your kiddo..

I dont think its such a great idea, seems like isolation to me...my bedroom seems fine :)
