Thats the worst nightmare for every parent.
We often talk about how important it is to educate kids and public about it, but has nay of you ever talked to your kids about it. And how? And how have they responded?

well Yes we do ,very often .kids nowadays are smart and understand things easily .
I think it's important to talk about it .Kids need to know that there are people who can harm them and how .they need to know that they can be everywhere .most of the time kids are affraid to talk about it with parents if anything happen so let them know that they can always share with us ,we will always be here to keep them safe and will always believe them and love them.
talking with our teenagers is also very very important ,setting clear limits and telling them that it's illegal and never okay to feel sexually attracted to children. few desi teenagers (betwen 15-17) have been sexually involved with kids from their school and later tried to rape a 30 years old girl .
Allah sab kay bachoN ko apni hifz-o-emaan meiN rakhay Ameen.
Re: Have You Spoken To Your Children About Abuse?
Mine are still young...7, 6 and 5 so we havent gone into detail but yes we've talked about abuse prevention. Never talk to strangers, never ever go with a stranger - or anyone else for that matter unless we've told them that they should. While towelling them off after shower, we've told them about private parts and that no one is ever to touch them there. If anyone asks them to remove clothes or tries to touch them they are to run away and tell a trused adult (teacher, mom etc).
