Yes Muzna, I will be wearing a charcoal gray Borrelli suit, with a checkered picnk and white french cuff shirt from Hilditch and Key, my special occasion Concord cufflinks, a dark blue solid Hermes tie, black captoes from A Testoni and a Prada belt.
SO what time should I come over for the party? is it BYOB ala Roman's house or you will have somehting?
WHat if u never buy anything new EXCEPT during eid? I for one rarely buy desi stuff, but only for less-than-noble reasons :( I was gunna ask my dad to bring me something from pak but naaahhhh, i dont like having clothes made for me that i dunno wat they look like... i do feel jealous when all my friends get such nice stuff from their relatives and none of mine acutally do send me anything but i guess it's better coz quite honestly, i prollyw udn't like wat they sent.. i'm very picky and particular about my clothes
nice thread. i dont make new dress on eids either. i hardly get to wear shalwar kameez as it is so i just wear clothes that i have worn before. most of my shalwar kameez are new, hardly worn more than one time. this time however, the eid dress is coming from susral so i’ll wear that and it will be my first eid in pakistan, so i am looking forward to it
I do that too, i dont know for how long though n I try to give it to converts just because they dont even have family. Oh n i never forget to spoil myself though :D
hehe if my mamma was here and she saw me spend all my money in JH (suits and samosas) she would send me on a one-way flight to karachi,,,,or worse, get me married. cuz on the one hand i told her to buy me lotsa suits from pak....she thinks i have no clothes.
Even though I feel very guilty making new clothes I already have two. One is already on a hanger in my closet the other needs to be stitched. Can’t wait to get my mehndi done
femme fatale- where do u get your mehendi done from?
Sara- my mom is just being a hypocrite.....i heard from reliable family aunties that she used to spend her paycheck on chanel and christian dior handbags and shop at bloomingdales when she was working before marriage......and now she raises her eyebrows at me shopping weekly at Forever21 !!!! what the...?!
Well uhav the whole yr to help the needy, and Eid is a special day, whynot enjoy it? Although I hafta admit, my cousins come dressed up like theuy’re going to a shaadi, their hair done in big poofy 6 inches above their head or sumfin and then they look at me like i’m a bum coz i’m barely wearin mascara, i dint get my eyebrows done (was tryint o grow em out) and not much jewelry.. :pagal:
