I have not read it but I will take this as an opportunity to ask my Hindu fellows here a question. I have heard that there is a religious mantra that is read to the one who is dying for him or her to die peacfully. Can someone please share a correct translation of that mantra here for my own knowledge?

there is no such mantra. in hinduism, you accumulated your karma during your lifetime. no special chant is going to do jack on your deathbed.
