Did a bit of shop lifting - but that was when I was a immature kid in grade 5
and was trying to follow the foot steps of my IDOL at that time. A big burly dude in grade 8, who was the BIG BOSS in school at that time…
Somehow we developed a friendship
That continues to this day
although he bullied me routinely, before we became friends
Anyway …
He showed to me a packet of battery cells, that he had pinched from a shop the day before. And told me how easy it was to do it
The very next day, when I was with my father in a shop , I took a packet of candies and stuffed them into my pocket. At home, my father discovered what I had done. As he didnt remember paying for any toffees at the shop
I got a real raw deal that day, i was smacked relentlessly on my skinny butt and made to go back to the shop to tell the shop keeper what I had done, and also pay him…
Father also went with me… and he had to excuse to the shop keeper for my action. That made me feel really really bad…
NEVER did that again.
Except make wifey’s purse lighter, every now and then
pinching some lose change - coffee money
Yaar you might remember Karachi's first 24 hour convenience store called Quick Trip. It was part of a CALTEX petrol pump on korangi road, few blocks from Defence Market etc.
^ I still do that whenever i go grocery shopping. Except i just save the wrapper and give the cashier chicks an empty wrapper to scan. They usually end up giggling
I went through this phase where I would continuously shoplift…I was around 11 or something and I would steal things left and right. I’m not exactly sure where I picked up this habit from, but I feel really bad about it even now :(. Probably the most recent thing I’ve stolen is CDs from my brother’s room. :] But I’m sure he wouldn’t mind…if he ever knew. tee hee I so sneaky.
