Gelatin in Pakistan is halal Rabika jee! So is gelatin in Dubai etc. Only in West etc is gelatin haram because it is derived from pigs.

If you want to go into details. Glatin is made from animal bones. In pakistan little kids collect bones out of trash and waste dumps and sell them to people who buy those bones and resell it again to bones procecssing plants. Now think of it. In Pakistan the donkeys , the dogs , the horses whatever animal dies goes to waste dumps and you cannot tell if this bone came from a donekey or a cow or a dog.

How do I know about those bones picking boys from Pakistan and what is done with those bones.
Because I remember watching a TV program on Pakistan TV when I was a kid. This program was presented by Laiq Ahmed about what happens to bones picked by those kids.

In West you have no choice , you need to grow your own food , everything will have one ingredient or other which by the strict definition of halal will have haram ingredient. Whey , mono and di glyceride’s , glycerin , gelatin , growth hormones , enzymes. 
The animals are fed or given growth hormones shots.

I ordered egg rolls in a Chinese restaurant once thinking an egg roll is an egg roll. But when I cut it whit knife and brought close to my mouth with fork to put in my mouth , it smelled as if it had some kind of meat in it so I called the waiter and asked what kind of meat was in it , he told me it was pork.
All the praise to be Allah that I did not eat it.

Not so sure, someone who works in Kraft here in Canada told me they make it from horse hooves.
