Yep its officially released today. And no longer a beta. If you have an older 7.xx version, its best to do a fresh install. Umm, there is an easy way to get it registered as well. If you are still clueless in that area PM me.

Oh, I am not such a fan of beta software. I saw it was availabe for download just last week, when i went to download v. 7.0
But will give it a try now :-)

Opera is the fastest browser in the market with some nifty features missing from IE and Firefox. Tried it yet Gizzy?

unless mozilla screws up royaly, i doubt i'll be switching over from firefox.
anyways could you list some of features that might make one to consider opera.

no u dont switch from firefox to opera. You use both and delete IE.

I have tried Opera beta, and I wasn't impressed. I find FF to be much better and much faster, I guess I'll stick with it.

nah, Maxthon and Firefox both work fine for me. I tried Opera once but its was'nt the thing I was looking for. :-/

I dont like Opera .....Mozilla is much much better then that.... infact Mozilla is the best :)

I have been using 7.54 and am happy with it. It's not my default browser but I use it whenever FF and IE giveup on me. As of right now I don't have any use for the newer version but might buy it sometime later.

so I got it from a mirror.
Yupp :k: I like it, been using the presious versions before this. I dont see many new things in this release though, I guess only some hidden features been updated.
**PA **its not paid, you only get to see a banner at the top in unregistered version,b ut you can get it away fairly easy (as 5abi said)

armughal, do a fresh install! remove the 7.x.x version and then install 8.0

Although I know I will not be trying out Opera, but nonetheless I'd like to know if it's any better than FireFox.

^ well you can say its better than Firefox in speed. Otherwise nuthing beats Firefox.
