My initial ‘hats off to zimbabwe’ post is proving to be a mistake

I still say we go by the real statistics, which puts us way up in test cricket ranking…

I got the stats from cricket.org, what stats are you talking about? and that they are real.

Question bhai, the stats from cricinfo are calculated by ICC.
loosing matches at home are worth more than loosing matches away, thats why Pakistan has a poor record.
If you look at it every individual test match instead of the series than Pak would be really high on the table.
Teams like Newzeland are way up high because they have drawn so many series away.

Makes sence, do u know any site that would show the stats properly?

Hatts off to PCB Chairman Lt. Gen. Tauqir Zia.

PCB Chairman Lt. Gen. Tauqir Zia says if ICC is unable to convince indians for playing against Pak in Pakistan then ICC will have to pay PCB. Don’t know how much ICC would have to pay PCB but I think PCB took the right decision. Now ICC will have to try their best to convince indians to play against Pak and then we will be able to DUCK these indians and set their dhoties on fire.

ICC just requested Nelson Mandela to talk to the Indian government about playing against Pakistan.
If they are so worried about their team's security then Pak is ready to send our team to India or why not play us in Sharjah.
All they have to do is say yes and we will do the humiliating part.

I hope the indian government doesnt read this..dun give them these ideas yaar

Winning a series AWAY also gets you more points, So no reason to crib here, since Pakistan has won more tests away.

Also, ICC doesn't go by no. of TESTS, It goes by no. of TEST Series played. Also they dont count ATC matches.

AK

Question bhai, I was referring to the overall test record of pakistan. We cannot just forget about the tests we won in the past.
http://www-pak.cricket.org/link_to_database/STATS/TESTS/RESULTS/TEST_RECORD_BY_COUNTRY.html

In short, Australia is at the first position, the Windies by a very short margin are at 2nd, and Pakistan is at 3rd and England is not too far behind at 4th. Our beloved India is at 7th.

One interesting this is that according to these statistics, Pakistan has the best home test win %age. Pak is 4th at away test rankings.

In neutral tests, Pakistan is also leading the chart with Australia.

In my opinion, we have to take into account everything, as I believe a team which has been playing well for 50 years deserves better attention than a team which only pulls off some impressive records in the course of just 5 or 6 years.

I check the stats and I agree with you what you are saying. I think ICC should take that into consideration too when doing the Test Champ calculation.

India and Pakistan to discuss resuming cricket ties

Question, you should start a new thread to discuss this issue.
