Winning test match is no condition to show whether a player is average or not. Cricket is a team game. Its like saying “Since West Indies lost the second match, so Lara is only an average player”. Lara is a great player, but he needs support from his team to pull off victories.

Younis is obviously far from the calibre of players like Inzi, Sachin or Lara. But he is a good and solid batsman. However, for a team to win, they need the whole team to click.

Faisal first read the whole thread and then comment…
I didnt say that this was not the team effort or a player is average due to loss or a win.

Reading the whole thread still doesn’t change your meaning. What has one person’s averageness got to do with a cricket team winning a test match. Cricket is a team game.

So you think younis didn’t help Pakistan. What about his century in the first innings of the 2nd test.He supported the batting in that innings otherwise Pakistan could have lost the series by 2-0

well lets clear one thing, i’m still an avid supporter of the windies. i’m not like u pakis who start to bash their own team if it loses every now and then. in my post all i said was that pak played as a team and everyone contributed towards this win. yes windies did not played well and were rightly defeated. 280 was not a very tough target to get but they made their own task difficult by not batting sensibly. i hope they’ll learn a few lessons from this defeat. last, series is drawn. no one won or lost. both teams played good cricket and both got what they deserve.

Yes I think YONIS is better than Lara, Inzi, Tendi, Ponting and Kallis.
He is a great player who helped Pakistan to win all the matches in which he played.
I think he will break all records by Tendi and Viv Richards.
But the only thing is he will still be an average player who can only make one or two’s and cant clear the 30 yard circle.

I guess PCB selectors should now take a notice that only those players would be included in the national team who can clear the 30 yard circle. From now on they should organise camps and ask every one to start hitting on every ball and then select only those who can clear the 30 yard circle on most of the balls. They should not give a crap iif someone can score 267 runs in a test match and help pakistan clinching a famous victory at banglore and can score a century at Jamaica to help pakistan level a series.

I am telling you he wants this thread to continue till younis’s retirement so his thread can break the record of the pakistan versus india 3rd test thread. A very good team effort, considering the fact that we were handicapped once again by missing key players but both Razzaq and Shabbir stood up, and bowled very well.

Kaneria is a pure match winner.

First of all Hatss off to LARA, for showing great sportsman sprit once again, by walking off in the 2nd innings..

Then Hatts off to the whole Pakistani team.. Could have done better, but a 150 run win is great as well..

I really now think on two points, after India and WI tour. That Asim Kamal can only perform in pressure situations :D. and RANA needs to change his bowling tactics in TESTs, No wonder he is a great ODI bowler(greatest in the current Pakistani lineup) , but he cannot bowl ODI style bowling in TESTs..
ONly Waqar used to bowl like that. coz he had fierce pace those days and as soon as he lost his pace he changed tactics..

Remember, it was a genuine test bowler who led you to victory. Kaneria is world class. The rest are still pie throwers, whether you admit to it or not.

Even though Younis is an average player but certainly he has improved ALOT and he is much better batsman than ever before.

Indeed Hats Off for Inzimamul Haq for his captaincy, as he has been gr8 player throughout his career.

What i have seen on Younis and Youhana, is that they keep the score board ticking, with the cheeky singles and doubles, which frustrates the bowlers more… They might not be crowd pleasers like Afridi, but they do get the job done.

Thats why there are world rankings. I think that you dont want to compare Yonis with anyother player in this world that is not possible it is same if you compare Kenya with Bangladesh and if one of them wins you say that it is the best team without comparing it to Aussie's or other top teams.
One other thing is sure from your side is that you are trying to be funny in thread and I can tell you its not working.

Calay boy, Yes I can see its not working on you and you are not finding it funny. don’t worry it was intended to be funny for rest of the crowd and not you.
Yes there is no harm in comparing a player with other players and a team with other teams or australia, as long as it is for comparision purposes. When you say crap like you have been saying for the past 1 week such as younis shouldn’t be in the squad because he is not better than imran nazir and inzi and rest of the world, then it sounds as if you are on dope. Because only a big dopehead like you can say things like that specially after younis performance in the last 2-3 months.
ANd there is no harm in comparing other teams with australia but if people like you start saying that no team is better then aussie therefore ICC should not allow them to play cricket just as you don’t want younis to play cricket, then we call people like you a dopehead.
