Is it just me or …are there soo many people in the world that can never be happy for you?
We recently had a dholki for my sister who’ll be getting married in Pakistan…Now, this was supposed to be something small initially but it ended up pretty big. I was so happy with the way things turned out!
BUT.
the next day and the following week…we got so many negative comments from relatives and family friends that I am just apalled that anyone can be so mean. It’s not only an attack on the function but the way we look and blah blah…

some people just can't accept that you might be able to do something better than them. i know people like that too- and rather than appreciating what you've done and how well you've done it, they sit there and grump and act grouchy about the whole shebang. whatever. try and let those comments not get to you- you had a fabulous event and so did your fam and thats what is most important.
my wedding went really well MA and everyone had a good time, except for a couple of people, who apparently couldn't find anything else to ***** about, so decided to fuss about how my hair was all flat because my dupatta was so heavy and i should have had a better bouffant.
and to that i say, wtf? go away. lol
my pictures came out fantastic, the food was amazing, the venue perfect, and frankly, my "flat" hair didn't stop me or anyone else from having a kick ass time, so why bother? it was so half-hearted a criticism, i couldn't help laughing.
yup def happened to me too....those are jealous insecure ppl who dont care about u ...but just want to put u down cuz they know thier day is coming and they wont have half a brain to come up w. the things u prob came up with so they panic and say mean ****. they are just haters!
but dont worry what goes around comes around trust and believe that.
a "friend" of mine...tried to ruin my day...and was so mean and hasnt talked to me since the wedding but her engagement got cancelled 2 days before it was supposed to happen. so she tried to ruin my day and god ruined her day. i leave it all up to god.
yeahh... whats worst is... most of the haters are close family or friends... agh!!! oh well... maybe its human nature for ppl to be jealous or just unhappy.. but one should jsut enjoy on their own...
too much competition on petty things just takes the life and energy out of the haterss...
LOL sarah...Yeah, that's why I am not there anymore. But that's temporary..I can't stay away for too long :p But for some reason I find that highly amusing!
As for the rest of the replies..I can't agree more guys...but I guess I ll just learn to move on because people will always talk no matter what. I have learned a lesson from all of this ...to never EVER critisize anyone else's functions because even if it isn't the best at times...people do their best to entertain the guests.

agreed! and maybe that's why you get even more pissed off because those are the people who's comments matter to you...
u guys r so rite just recently i was in a mehendi of a frnd where two of my frnds kept pointing on things like dulhan's sister in law isnt wearing modern clothes or the music is bad etc etc its annoying and pretty show off too
