yeah, that could help us understand the reason of others opinion about us. But we usually neither think nor evaluate our own deeds and follow tit for tat psychology. isnt it?

tit for tat is immediate response, but at some point of time people do realize their mistakes and therefore the feelings like regret / guilt exist.
