I’m not sure I’d call it a hate crime yet, but it’s what has been suggested by a few others.
So I’m a bit peeved. Well, I’m quite pissed. I’m currently in a professional program and of course, there is one person(a girl), there who has to be a complete and constant *****.
Last week this girl tried to humiliate me in front of a class of 30 people. She belittled be with ad hominem attacks for 5 minutes. Everyone was so shocked at the unprovoked attack that no one responded (although many people approached me afterward).
I went to my teachers and made my concerns very clear. I had witnesses, and there were other situations that could be brought up by other students in the class who she has attacked. In our policy book it states that anyone found being rude or disrespectful must leave for the rest of the day. It wasn’t enforced.
Two days ago this girl cracked jokes about me being handicapped (I was born with a spinal issue and now cannot walk or stand very well until I have corrective surgery).
I’ve thought about going to the management of the school, and even contacting the owners of the institute, but I’m not sure they’ll do anything. Now I feel as though I have to bait her into doing something completely insane in public for the school to pay attention to my complaints.
I’m beyond my wits end and it’s only the fourth week of the course. This girl has been giving me looks and making violent gestures. I’ve stopped using my locker because her friend is my locker mate and I’m afraid my things will be stolen or vandalized. I’ve never had this kind of situation happen to me before.

Is is this a private school in the states??? whether public or private you need to inform the mangement or admin immediately - especially if the gril is making threatening gestures towards you. Inform your professor or teacher (whom ever but do let them know) Schools have very strict rules about harassments ... actually its sounds like a mix of harassment and bullying!! And ignoring won't help in this case ...

She is stupid and should be stopped , I would go with your strategy of baiting her to do something outrageous and then take care of her forever. At that point she will be crying and apologize but do not give in.

I wouldn't really consider it a hate crime either, but it was pure discrimination. There's only so much I can ignore while she makes threatening gestures.
She does need to be put in her place. I've been accomplishing that verbally... but sometimes I think the physical needs be brought into play.

It's a private institute (for cosmetologists and estheticians). I've been to them before, and had several witnesses to my situation who could also attest to their own confrontations with this girl. Our policies state that when she acts this way she must leave for the day. They're just not following their policies.

That is really sad. First of all, talk to her if you can and tell her she is really hurtful and mean to you (I found the comment that youre handicapp to be very rude and discriminating). If that dusnt work, dun be afraid and tell the management. Dun let it b too late before you can do anything... and always remember ppl bully those who let themselves b bullied... stand up for yourself next time she says something mean and take action. These things should never be tolerated... isnt there a friend you could talk to or perhaps take advice from?

Threaten to sue the institute and you'll see immediate action.
this seems like the only thing that will work:)but even if they tell her to leave for one day dont u think she ll come back the next day n be a bigger b........ to you i wuld still suggest ignore her
Why are people so cruel and mean? You need to report her. If the teachers are not listening, write down their names, dates of when you tried talking to them about her abusive attitude, and go higher up and report the teachers too for not taking any action!

I've decided to just tred lightly until she returns (which I hope she doesn't). She's on a financial aid leave of absence, so I hope that it doesn't pull through. Even if she does come back, she's screwed because the first 6 weeks of class are the most important. No teacher is going to stay after to teach her what she missed, and she can't learn it from a book.
