I am planning on visiting Newport Coast for some business/relaxation and was doing a search on youtube when I came across this:

As a Muslim, I caution you on the offensive language. What I found more disturbing is the role of the politicians who were further instigating the protesters.

These are some paid retards, working hourly for some filthy rich man. At the end of the day every protester got $100 so they may go buy booze and waste their life of....as we all know they got no like.....bunch of homeless people..........:)

This is everywhere, on the radio/news/work etc and everyone I know is totally appalled. These politcians have to be real idiots, they are definetly getting backlash. Of course there are some people who are trying to say it was out of context and the 'real' hate was inside the fundraising event.....what BS, I don't know who their trying to fool

Protest is one thing, I want to talk about these politicians who MADE the effort to come out to a rally of a few hundred people only to show "support" for their cause. How are these politicians qualified to represent the people?

Of course not all Californians/Orange Countians are Islamaphobes, but my concern is the institutional support given by politicians, Tea partiers etc. I saw the protests against the Islamic Center in NY and they were pretty bad - the only difference was, elected did NOT come out to support such protests.

If this was a reverse case situation (american muslim extremists speaking BS against non-muslims) the uproar would've been far greater than it is in this case, even on GS.

It’s a real shame whats happening across the world, I can understand hatred when theres good reason for it. Sure I can remember times when things precious to me and directly part of my life were cruelly taken from me… when one feels a sense of personal betrayal… I’m not just talking about your nieghbour stealing your cookies or the guy from work who keeps throwing jibes your way…I mean the real nasty things that people do, like beat you to an inch of your life or hold a knife to your friends throat…

However these days theres so much blind hatred… even on other internet forums people will practically lay into each other for no real reason othe rthan some petty superficial difference…

Most of the biggots from all faiths, cultures, races… have one big thing in common they are almost all totally ignorant. Thier hatred is blind and what it all boils down to is the fact they are just looking for an excuse to take out anger and hate… that sort of person in my opinion is real trouble especially if you are unlucky enough to bump into one.

Allah protect us all from Ignorance and help us come to a better understanding of one another through peacefull means. There are so many people on GS with whom I am good friends despite our cultural, religous and political differences… if only more people had the GS spirit. :jhanda:
