The first Digicel Cricket Coaching Clinic of 2009 may have unearthed a cricketing treasure for the West Indies as seven-year-old Aidan George’s impressive batting technique had lead coach Keith Arthurton buzzing with excitement.
“His stance is very good and he moves his feet at the right times and with ease. I certainly would like to work with him in the future as I think he has the potential to develop into a very good player,” Arthurton said at the conclusion of the three day clinic which took place this past weekend on the islands of Tortola and Virgin Gorda.
“While he was batting, I heard someone in the crowd shout out that he looked like Sachin Tendulkar (the Indian master batsman) and I thought the same thing because of the way he bats, his stance and his attitude.
Re: Has the next Sachin Tendulkar been discovered in the BVI?
^ There is a difference between Indian media/cricket authorities making a contingency plan and WI/Internnational media calling someone as the next Tendulkar when the real Tendulkar is still around.
Care to enlighten what was so funny in your post that you had to ?
