It seems like a lot of families who have come over from Pakistan find the convinience of a microwave really useful and as a result there is increased distance between the family members; especially husband and wife. I know of a handful of families who have suffered because of using the microwave.
How you may ask? Simple. I assure you many of you are experiencing this right now, and don’t even realize it. See back in the day, before the microwave, food had to be cooked on a stove. That took some preperation, time, and energy. As a result, dinner time was essentially family time. It brought the entire family togather and helped strengthen the family values our Eastern culture emphasizes so much.
But with this microwave, you can just heat left over food real quick and eat it. You can even buy all sorts of microwave meals. You no longer have to wait for mommy to cook, or your wife. As a result, dinner time is no more, and families are not spending enough time togather.
So do y’all agree that the microwave isn’t for everyone?
micro waves have a soothing effect on the family. you may not know it but in ancient times when it wasnt yet invented wives or whoever was heating and reheating food used to mutter swears under breath to their spouses and kids. As they are often late or not in time. I say let it stay!

I don't know...But why do you think these Pakistani families didn't use to use Microwaves etc in Pakistan??Do you think Pakistan is that backward...Or you only know of those Pakistani familes in US/Canada that were 'that backward' in Pakistan?
