You know Chimps have also been seen to take part in warfare… Its pretty savage. So perhaps that lends credence to the inter relatedness of our two species. They are apparently our closest cousins, and they kill each other just as we do.
Here is a fascinating article on it by the NY times. It seems we have inherited a common trait for blood letting.
