has anyone got this dess?

hello,

I am looking for this dress:
Exclusive Elegant and Decent White Dresses For Women 2013-14 | Style

i guess it is thread and motifs but i am not 100% sure.

has anyone ever made a good copy of this dress?

if yes, how much will this cost?

cheers

Re: has anyone got this dess?

It is T&M and I’m pretty sure a copy would end up more expensive than the original.

It’s still on their website: 1943

Re: has anyone got this dess?

thank you.

this cost £110 but i am xs size...

would a replica cost much more?

Re: has anyone got this dess?

Depends on the quality of the replica (including quality of fabric) and what kind of work you go for on those front and back patches. The original is most likely machine embroidery.

Personally I would not go for a replica and see if one of the home based designers can get the unstitched fabric and get it stitched in your size.

I do like the design though.. and if I wanted to wear it to a more formal occasion, then I might get a replica made so I could have more formal type kaam/embroidery done on those patches... then it would be worth the extra expense.

Re: has anyone got this dess?

yes i was thinking of getting this dress for a wedding/walima.

I thought this was heavy kaam? if it is machine embroidery then it wont look as formal i guess.

do you know any home based designer who would have this dress?

Re: has anyone got this dess?

I saw this dress in real life and didn't think it was as impressive as in the picture. if possible you should try and get a picture of the outfit itself without all the fancy modelling and lighting.

Re: has anyone got this dess?

how can I get the real pictire?

Re: has anyone got this dess?

Paris if you know anyone in Pakistan, you could ask them to step into the T&M store and take one. Also here’s one of it not in a model:

it’s not that it wasn’t nice, its just you should always be wary of these marketing photos because they can really be deceiving.

Re: has anyone got this dess?

If you want to get it for a wedding/walima, then forget the original and if anyone has it! (On that note, no one would just have this lying around - they'd have to get the unstitched suit from T&M and get it stitched for you). It's not a difficult design to copy and any home based designer should be able to make you a decent replica made with heavy kaam on the bodice patches. They will do everything from scratch i.e. buy the fabrics, dye them, get the kaam pattern made, get the kaam done on the patches as per your requirements, get it stitched like the picture. Additionally, you'll be able to customise it to your taste (colours etc).

You can try prototype, panache, catwalk - they all advertise here.
