my experience is the same as khattichic's..........the families used to go camping once or twice each summer.....and we would go in groups.

there was something for everyone.......hiking, fishing, boating, swimming, cooking.......even washed dishes in the river/lake with sand rather than using soap.....

nowadays nobody wants to go live off the land anymore......plus its much more polluted than it used to be.....

Went once for one night. The camping part was fun…the hiking the next day was a total B

I haven't been to a camping trip with no access to water etc but I have gone on a trip where we stayed in a yurt. There were comfort stations (showers and washrooms), power and clean water. It was fun but I can't imagine going on a proper camping trip with no washroom or water access. :(

Same here! Well I didn’t go real-real camping…more like half-fake camping in Yosemite. Camping was the fun part…we even had a bear come near our place…

but the hiking…that is a whole another story

Just got lucky campsite closed because of some emergency, we are going to a better background.

lol UZ... I would love to go primitive camping..in fact I am just waiting for my 6 month old to grow up a bit and out we go!!!

unfortunately, no one in our friends circle likes to do anything like this so it will be just the two of us with our lil one!!! :-(
