Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

For your kind information the 4 weeks waiting period is for international claims NOT DOMESTIC CLAIMS. (which this is).................read the claim for carefully and contact your postmaster! No parcel is going to found at this point............!

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

Please click on this…it says 21 days…which is 3 weeks…parcel was mailed out August 13th…it is definitely over 3 weeks…sometimes Ms. Zahid says she has already filed claim…sometimes she says she has to wait 4 weeks…

perhaps a lawyer can help her sort out dates!

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

Zeenat stop talking rubbish.......
I have blocked you because you were sending me rude messages and misbehaving.
go to lawyer then. call to my vendors all over the world and get your money back.
you are a big Liar......when did I say that I have claimed for insurance. You have so much time to call my vendors y dont you call the nos I gave you of postal service and ask the real story. If I have not sent you the clothes how could I promise u to return the money.
This is just your negative thinking. If you can get the money back in this way go ahead.file the case against me and do what ever you want. The parcel was posted on the 14th of Aug and u have the copy of the reciept.you are constatly posting wrong facts. Now do what ever you want.....

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

@shanna
There is bigger judge up there who might or might not act now but we all will one day be standing in front of Allah(SWT) begging for Allah's mercy and justice.
Since you have bought insurance , all you should tell the buyer, is that you are working with USPS and will return the money once you get it from them. Instead of fueling the fire by telling the buyer to go and do whatever she wants. This is not professional and business like behavior. It gives the buyer impression that you are not serious about giving them their money back after this mishap.
Being a business owner you should control your emotions and provide all kinds of assurances to the buyers instead of challenging them.
Buyers are always emotional , if they lose money they will use all kinds of tactics to get their money back , you should understand that and deal with those emotions with tact and calm not with counter threats.

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

I have been patient all the time and promised her to return the money. If some mishap has happened then we should accept this but she is not taking it that way rather she is suspecting me that I have not even sent her clothes and I am a cheater and liar.I am of her mother's age quiet mature than her, have been doing this business for the last 27 years.I never had this mishap happened. If its is our fate then we all have to bear that.I owe her money thats for sure but cant she wait a bit more.what do u think by doing all this can she get the money back quickly. she will get the money back due to my neeyat only.its a matter of $925 how can I cheat her for this small money. If I had cheated then I would have been disappeared.she has been calling to my vendors and asking about me but fortunately there was a 100% positive feed back.If she got 1% negative feed back then she should quote that here.she has called one of my vendors yesterday that she is going to file a case against me.She told them that me any my mother are not taking her calls. ask her when did she last call. I am all time available except for when I was at the funeral.ask her to call me anytime.so who is the liar Allah knows. She is constantly saying bad things about my mother what do u think can anybody listen anything against anybody's mother? If she really wants her money back she should watch her words. In any case I owe her money but by writing all this what do u think the things can be reversed?she is writing same thing again and again and trying to harm my reputation but Allah is with me and my neeyat is to give her money back so she should also be patient.By the grace of Allah not a single customer can say anything against myself, my dealing or my beaviour or quality.....This is just a mishap..I never ever had this happened in my life. There are hundred of customers at GS forum. Not a single customer can say anything bad against me as I am very sincere and loyal to my customer. She has been sending me abbusive messages and "bud duain" I kept calm. Ask her if I ever said anything in return.I think this is my Mothers training . she is a gem of persons . she has been telling her all the time to calm down and made her sure that she will get the money back
But she is not in a listening mode.why doent she understand that she will get the money back.by annoying me what do u think she will get the money back..........she should be mature and wait.

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

@Mirch once again I sincerely appreciate your efforts in helping with this serious matter. The problems between Me and seller Shabnam Zahid started as soon as I sent her money.....from that point her story changed on when she would send clothes.....I specifically told her that I wanted clothes sent from US and before she left Houston for Calgary. She repeatedly assured me she would personally send the items and that she routinely went to post office and looked for possible way to send parcels....but she never did what she said she would.....I have written emails.....instead she left houston without mailing parcel......I spoke to her in the morning of her departure and and she said she would mail the dresses personally before her flight.......when I checked later on her mother said she had to leave and that the alterations were not done to her satisfication......her mom then gave reasons why parcel coudl not be mailed.......and that she turned over to another daughter/sister to mail........I ONLY DEALT WITH SHABNAM NOT HER MOM or her sister........after some strong emails she produced a tracking receipt......but by this point I already started to have a BAD FEELING ABOUT THIS DEAL.......I have been a victim of fraud previously and I told Shabnam and her mom about this and my fears........INSTEAD OF appeasing a fearful buyer who sent money without any hassle she has put me thru "Hell" in the month of Ramadan and the saga continues....

I remain doubtful that the parcel was actually sent......a receipt for a parcel that wound up in dead mail makes me even more suspicious.......if she or someone actually sent the parcel and it was insured then she she should have no worries and pay me back........but I think she is afraid that the insurance claim may not process......maybe she knows something we all don't.........and she will wait until she has payment from USPS to consider paying me back.......HOW IN WORLD DOES SHE EXPECT A PARCEL TO COME TO MY DOORSTEP if there is no mailing label on it now? A professional designer has a name/brand to protect and sometimes appeases a buyer when they are not at fault but Ms. Zahid's behavior makes me believe that I AM A VICTIM OF FRAUD FOR THE 2ND TIME.........I faced similar behavior from the other seller before........

MY SUGGESTION TO ALL BUYERS IS BE CAREFUL.......definitely check for references before placing a order and try to use secure methods of payments.........NEVER PAY BY PERSONAL CHECK OR DEPOSIT unless you have references for the designers......definitely ask around on these sites to check credibility do not believe someone on face value.......I learned the hard way..........Again I have had lots of sucessful transactions and lots good desingers and sellers but you do have to careful.....

I do feel it is my responsibility to make sure that others are not fooled the way I was.......and I don't consider myself a gullible person...........within USA consider using a credit card or debit card (safest methods) of payment...........If something seems too good to true ............think 10 times before forking over money!

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

Wow! Shabnam amazing........instead of saying all this..........you can't return the money.......for what do I have wait? THE PACKAGE IS INSURED.......if you really sent you will be reimbursed by USPS........is it your mom's training that you should make me wait until I go crazy? I borrowed that money from my husband in front whom I appear as an Idiot for doing business with somebody unknown.......it ALWAYS seller's responsiblity to make sure that package gets to buyer's hand successfully....instead you accused you of giving WRONG ADDRESS...if is only matter of $925......why not return the money and move on with your life and business especially since you WERE SMART ENOUGH TO INSURE THE PACKAGE.......You definitely protected yourself........are you afraid that claim may not process? What is your fear? You are dealing with United States Postal Service.....they do pay claims..............Take lesson from Prototype or Xenab's..........if this is REALLY MISHAP.....why ruin your reputation or business over it? This is not the way to deal with customer? YOu took money from me and I don't have anything in return? Of course, I will be angry......I have husband who is not happy that I turned over $925 to some unknown person.........if it is small amount.......just return........and WE NEVER HAVE TO DEAL WITH EACH OTHER......and btw it was one of your buyers to whom you sell who suggested LEGAL ACTION! Sounds like wise suggestion!

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

@Hidayah , if you have all the proofs of your transaction and you have no trust on Shanna then the only recourse available to you is to sue her in small claims court in your city and state.

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

WORRYING IS IMAGINANATION GONE WILD......take this into consideration Ms. Zahid

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

Now do what ever you want.write everywhere and what ever you want to and take ur money back in this way.......good luck

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

Hidayah.....I think you are better off handling this in small claims court.
Or maybe Judge Judy or People's Court could help you out....

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

@ Mirchi
If you are a genuine moderator.........you should judge urself who is doing wrong....
cheater never writes back they just disappear. whenever some body had some bad experience with someone and one writes at any forum. many customers who has been ripped opp come up.....why nobody came here as I have had never dealt customers like her.suggest her to go wherever she wants. In this way she might get her money by tomorrow. My concious is clear so ask her to try her luck.If she had a bad experience what she could have done to her, She never got her money back from them.In this case I have been reassuring her to give her money back asap. but now I'll wait for the claim to be processed and then I'll return the money due to her behaviour.I was thinking to file the claim tomorrow as 4 weeks has been passed but now I should wait 90 days to find the parcel and if I dont find it then I'll file the claim. so that I can prove that I have mailed her clothes in real.

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

Yes I am a mod not a Judge that is why I told her the right way to deal with this issue. Since she does not take your words and you are not help much either therefore There is not much she can do in a civilized society like USA other than filing a case in small claims court .

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

Again, all fellow GS member I think Shanna (Shabnam Zahid's behavior) speaks volumes for itself.........she has decided that she will punish me by not filing the claim for 90 days.......I was really out of my mind to deal with such a lady........Hopefully others have learned a lesson from this........I should just sit quietly and be a good little girl and wait for her return my money.......May Allah show us all the right path........

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

May Allah end your ordeal. Ameen.

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

@Mirch and GS members Thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers!

@Shabnam Zahid...............August 14th was a sunday..............Post office is closed on Sundays..........According to you parcel was mailed out on saturday August 13th.......

Why you will wait 90 days to file a claim that was insured is something only you and Allah know..............You want to hold on to my money and teach me lesson on how to behave....then that is your choice. Y*our behavior serves as clear example of WHAT NOT TO DO AS A BUSINESS OWNER*.............You have defined what type of business professional you are for the whole online community.......whether this is good for your business only the coming time will tell...........Everyone is free to judge what your mother's training is.......if I have given you bedwain or not....allah is judge of that.........remember unjust bedwain will never be accepted......who is at fault only Allah knows......

I am paying for my mistake of being too trusting.....I hope that all of GS realizes that you should never believe what someones says on face value.....best way to judge a person is thru their business dealings.....Ms. Zahid you proven what type of person you are! Allah is best of judges and in his court justice will be served!

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

Let this be a lesson for all the buyers that do not place a big order with one vendor unless they have earned your trust. Start with small orders and when they are filled then place another order and build a trust gradually.
With a new vendor get references , use your credit card to pay so that you can inform the credit card company if the transaction does not go into the right direction.
Never use money order , direct deposit , check , western union etc to pay a vendor.

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

What I have learned from the back and forth of this thread between the buyer and seller is what a bad vendor is and what a bad client is

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

For a good vendor customer is always right. A good vendor will deal with any kind of customer behavior with tact , calm and respect. Vendor is not supposed to lose their patience.

Re: Has anybody ordered from Shabnam Zahid of Silk Affair?

@Seyrsh

Thanks for your input....I would greatly appreciate if you can elaborate on what you mean by bad client? If I have crossed any limits as a client I would like to know......to date I have no dresses in hand and I am loss of almost $1000 - not mention countless hrs spent on this blog and failed communications....

@Mirch.....I was very hesistant abt buying more than 2 dresses.....but the readymade dresses and the fact that they were shown on skype and the prices (I was told I had to buy at least 6 or 7 to get wholesale prices) and the designer was iN USA....I had told her I was a little vary of paying all the shipping charges for clothes from Pakistan.....I had told her numerous times I wasn't even interested in buying from her if she sent from Canada bc it would be international shipping......shipping within USA is fairly economical......perhaps because I was interested in sealing the deal bc .....designer claimed she was in USA for short amount of time and she told stories of all the wedding clothes she designed and of the all big name designer she fullfilled orders for......yes I fell for her trap and for the clothes....
.
in hindsight I should have never fallen for lower prices on a large order....the dresses were too big and Ms. Zahid promised free alterations.......I should insisted on paying by credit card or by COD (CASH ON DELIVERY)...I I didn't want to lose trust of seller...You should always check references.....and never be so swayed by a designer's self praise......a buyer should be objective and not be sweet talked....I have major regret that this whole transaction took place in Ramadan when I needed Eid clothes......My Eid order was messed up as sizes were too small and I had to sell those.....Perhaps I shouldn't have focused so much on Eid clothes......

This is the second time I have been duped by an online seller.....when something seems too good to be true......IT PROBABLY IS....
