What do you think? Is Adnan Syed guilty?
I’m beginning to suspect Jay. The guys statement is flip flopping like a rabbit.
Re: Has anybody been following the serial podcast?
I am confused but there doesn’t seem to be anything that says 100% adnan is the killer.
Re: Has anybody been following the serial podcast?
I am not following this serial.

Adnan Syed’s conviction vacated, granted new trial.
Conviction vacated, new trial granted for Adnan Syed of ‘Serial’ - Baltimore Sun
Re: Has anybody been following the serial podcast?
thanks for bringing it up. I was actually thinking to start a discussion on this.
I didnt hear the podcast but i heard a summary of it few times on NPR. Guilty or no, the guy deserves a fair trial and i’m glad he is getting it now. Though he has already passed 16 yrs in jail. But better late than never. And if he is guilty then it doesnt change anything either so the trial is nevertheless the best news he has got since 2000.
Re: Has anybody been following the serial podcast? New Developments!
I also followed the Undisclosed Podcast after Serial was over. They ripped apart the prosecutions case. There is no way this guy was guilty.
Yesterday’s decision was based on evidence discovered on the Undisclosed Podcast by one of the lawyers on their team.

Serial Host Sarah Koenig Reacts to Adnan Syed’s New Trial
“It was such a longshot”
When Serial host Sarah Koenig saw the news about Adnan Syed being granted a new trial, she was so shocked that she put her hand over her mouth.
Koenig was on Skype with executive producer Julie Snyder when she saw the news.
“Both of us did exactly the same involuntary thing of sucking in our breath and then putting our hands over our mouths,” Koenig said on the Serialwebsite. “We weren’t so much shocked because of the legal arguments, but because it was such a longshot, this outcome.”
Syed was convicted of murdering his ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee in 1999, and he was sentenced to life in prison in 2000. Koenig had her first taped conversation with Syed two and a half years ago. In their first conversation, they talked about the judge’s decision to deny Syed’s petition for post-conviction relief.
“At the time, it seemed to me Adnan was spinning optimistic,” Koenig wrote. “Possibly falsely so. I mean, his legal options, by any clear-eyed assessment, were moribund.”
Koenig also acknowledged the statement from Hae Min Lee’s family about the judge’s decision. In a statement, Lee’s family said, “We do not speak as often or as loudly as those who support Adnan Syed, but we care just as much about this case. We continue to grieve.”
