What if it rains in the game against ZIM? (weather.com shows 60% chance of showers).
Wouldnt a shortened game boost Pakistan’s chances? or would it work vice versa?

It will demnish Pakistan chances...
-
Monday: Sunshine along with a few clouds. High 83F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph.
-
Monday Night: Partly cloudy this evening followed by mostly cloudy skies and a few showers after midnight. Low 63F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 30%.
-
Tuesday: Rain showers in the morning with scattered thunderstorms arriving in the afternoon. High 79F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 60%
Match could reduce to 35 overs as Weather forecast expects thunderstorms. Dunno know much about the Bulawayo pitch but if it contains moisture; and Pakistan won the toss, we should field first. It will help Akram and Akhtar to swing the ball inside out!

Since you are also from Binladen Institute as your fav sports columnist Mr.Bhatti, let me explain to you what will be impact if its 25 overs a side match.
IF ZIMB bats first for 25 overs and
ZIM scores 150 then there no way Pak CAN qualify.
ZIM scores 100 then there no way Pak CAN qualify.
ZIM scores 50 then there no way Pak CAN qualify.
ZIM scores 25 then there no way Pak CAN qualify.
IF ZIMB bats first for 25 overs and
PAK scores 200 then PAK need to bowl them out at 31.
PAK scores 150 then there no way Pak CAN qualify.
PAK scores 100 then there no way Pak CAN qualify.
Go figure out... !!!
If it rains Zim are through and England and Pakistan are out. Simple as that.
