O Yara, dont dream just send in that application..

I am a Harvard former student (drop out, year 2000)

I left because of work. I finally completed my education from UC Berkeley in 2002.

i prolly wont get in but i was thinking of applying there for grad school

RF can u tell me what the PSA and MSA there is like? and are there many Muslim females on campus? is there a cohesive Muslim community on campus? what abt a pakistani one?

can u get by without a car?

is the general atmosphere snobby and upper classish? **

Salaam Irem,

You should definately send in the application.

We have a really cohesive HIS (Harvard Islamic Society), Ramadhan was excellent and as a grad student you definately will not feel left out. There is no real PSA, most Pakis are part of the HIS. Although there is some talk of starting up a Paki org.

You should have no problem getting around without a car, in fact you really dont need one. The T (Metro) is more than enough. Plus parking is ridiculous..I know this because my wife goes nuts trying to find parking whenever she visits.

I don't find it snobby, although some may say it is upper classish. There many decent folks in school that are both Pakistani and Muslim. If you have any particular questions about HBS, feel free to ask.

One thing I can assure you, is that the education and the contacts are top notch. Atleast in the business world, HBS carries a lot of weight.*
