HARUN YAHYA-- EVOLUTION DECIET

c

Can you elaborate on specifics?

I have studied evolution and have debated the religious aspects for a long time. This is the kind of topic (although also religiously orientated would be a good topic for the C&A forum which is a temp science forum.

Well without having read any of his work....to completely rubbish it seems unsound.

Darwinian evolutionary theory is one of countless that exist today. But the core hypothesis is a sound one and in my opinion in total harmony with Islam.

Have you any specific details i.e. text from this guy?...and unless he has a better theory grounded in science, to rubbish established theories appears incomplete.

Many scientists have proposed alternative bents on the Darwinian view, but for now Darwin's published works stand. He was not alone in coming to this conclusion but the first to publish.

So without further info from this guy I can't really comment with anything useful.

i think all his books are excellent with revelation to the quran in all points.

total logic.

perfectly explained.

awesome books.

Those books are indeed interesting.

He really does make some good critical points about the Darwinian evolutionary theory…

Anyway iqra_786 thanx for posting the links.

DECIDE FOR URSELF.ALLAH DOES NOT CREATE BY TRIAL AND ERROR

Darwin was well aware that his theory faced lots of problems. He confessed these in his book in the chapter "Difficulties of the Theory". . Darwin hoped that these difficulties would be overcome by new discoveries; yet this did not stop him from coming up with a number of very inadequate explanations for some. The American physicist Lipson made the following comment on the "difficulties" of Darwin:
On reading The Origin of Species, Ifound that Darwin was much less sure himself than he is often represented to be; the chapter entitled "Difficulties of the Theory" for example, shows considerable self-doubt.

If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed, which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down
In a letter he wrote to Asa Gray on April 3, 1860, he said "I remember well the time when the thought of the eye made me cold all over, but I have got over this stage of complaint..." And then continued: "... and now trifling particulars of structure often make me very uncomfortable. The sight of a feather in a peacock's tail, whenever I gaze at it, makes me sick!

the probability of the formation of only one protein molecule is "1 out of 10300". The probability of this "1" to occur is practically impossible. (In mathematics, probabilities smaller than 1 over 1050 are accepted as "zero probability").

A professor of applied mathematics and astronomy from University College (Cardiff, Wales), Chandra Wickramasinghe, comments:
The likelihood of the spontaneous formation of life from inanimate matter is one to a number with 40,000 noughts after it... It is big enough to bury Darwin and the whole theory of evolution. There was no primeval soup, neither on this planet nor on any other, and if the beginnings of life were not random, they must therefore have been the product of purposeful intelligence

The Probability of a Protein Being Formed by Chance is Zero
There are 3 basic conditions for the formation of a useful protein:
First condition: that all the amino acids in the protein chain are of the right type and in the right sequence.
Second condition: that all the amino acids in the chain are left-handed.
Third condition: that all of these amino acids are united between them by forming a chemical bond called "peptide bond".
In order for a protein to be formed by chance, all three basic conditions must exist simultaneously. The probability of the formation of a protein by chance is equal to the multiplication of the probabilities of the realisation of each of these conditions.
For instance, for an average molecule comprising of 500 amino acids:

  1. The probability of the amino acids being in the right sequence: There are 20 types of amino acids used in the composition of proteins. According to this:
  2. The probability of each amino acid being chosen correctly among these 20 types = 1/20
  3. The probability of all of those 500 amino acids being chosen correctly = 1/20500 = 1/10650 = 1 chance in 10650

  4. The probability of the amino acids being left-handed:

  5. The probability of only one amino acid being left-handed = 1/2

  6. The probability of all of those 500 amino acids being left-handed at the same time = 1/2500 = 1/10150 = 1 chance in 10150

  7. The probability of the amino acids being combined with a "peptide bond":
Amino acids can combine with each other with different kinds of chemical bonds. In order for a useful protein to be formed, all the amino acids in the chain must have been combined with a special chemical bond called a "peptide bond". It is calculated that the probability of the amino acids being combined not with another chemical bond but by a peptide bond is 50%. In relation to this:

  8. The probability of two amino acids being combined with a "peptide bond" = 1/2

  9. The probability of 500 amino acids all combining with peptide bonds = 1/2499 = 1/10150 = 1 chance in 10150

TOTAL PROBABILITY = 1/10650 x 1/10150x 1/10150 = 1/10950
= 1 chance in 10950
The probability of an average protein molecule made up of 500 amino acids being arranged in the correct quantity and sequence in addition to the probability of all of the amino acids it contains being only left-handed and being combined with only peptide bonds is "1" over 10950. We can write this number which is formed by putting
950 zeros next to 1 as follows:
10950 =

100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,

Haroon Yahya is a good Islamic scholar and researcher. His work on evolution clears up many misconceptions and good links Turk brother.

Thanx Pakistani Brother

I also want to advice some sites belonging to a famous islamic researcher and scholarship(Fethullah Gulen) who also resembles Harun Yahya. As I read he set up hundreds schools through out world. These schools are usually champion in science olymic games. He is known as a reviving voice of compassion, understanding, love and dialoge.He was invited by Pope since his studings about dialoges between christian and Ýslamic world. Also as I know he is the pioneer of the schools in Pakistan called Pakturk Colleges whose also aim is to strenghten the brotherhood of Pakistanis and Turks. Thse schools are famous with their science projects and researchers. These sites are;

www.pearls.org not com sorry…

we are not talking about evolution of the species from a gooey substance where the first amino acid happen to come by chance..

darwin never made such claims.. he was a very religious man... and never made such claims. he just made observations that there was observable evolution of animals with time to adapt to their local conditions.

the evolution we are talking about is from the plants of prehistoric times to the plants of this time.. the animanls of prehistoric times to the animals of today..

the animals and plants of today could not have survived in the climate of those times.. and animals and plants of that time could not survive in this climate.

to continue the existence of life on this planet the plants and animals had to adopt to the climatic changes.. not by accident but by design.

a marvel of god that he has created so many species which can adapt to the changes in environment.

some species died.. for the changes were either to severe .. or changed around to much. just look at the dinosaurs.. you cannot claim that the dinosaurs were not a creation of god. a reminder that a whole range of species can be wiped out..

so I agree with Thap that evolution is not contradictory of Islam.. but some of the claims of the evolutionists are.

combine the creationist and evolutionists views and claims and you will have the truth (in my opinion at least).

MAYB MAYB then plz explain this

He who has created all things in the best possible way. He commenced the creation of man from clay; then produced his seed from an extract of base fluid; then formed him and breathed His Spirit into him and gave you hearing, sight and hearts. What little thanks you show! (Surat al-Sajda: 7-9)

so he was religious cool
Darwin's comments regarding the Turkish nation appeared in the book The Life and Letters of Charles Darwin, published in 1888. Darwin proposed that by eliminating the "backward races" natural selection would play a role in the development of civilisation, and later said these exact words about the Turkish nation:
I could show fight on natural selection having done and doing more for the progress of civilization than you seem inclined to admit. Remember what risk the nations of Europe ran, not so many centuries ago of being overwhelmed by the Turks, and how ridiculous such an idea now is! The more civilized so-called Caucasian races have beaten the Turkish hollow in the struggle for existence. Looking to the world at no very distant date, what an endless number of the lower races will have been eliminated by the higher civilized races throughout the world.24

Again in another part of The Origin of Species, Darwin claimed that it was necessary for the inferior races to disappear and that there was no need for developed peoples to try to protect them and keep them alive. He compared this situation to people who raised breeding animals:
With savages, the weak in body or mind are soon eliminated; and those that survive commonly exhibit a vigorous state of health. We civilised men, on the other hand, do our utmost to check the process of elimination; we build asylums for the imbecile, the maimed, and the sick; we institute poor-laws; and our medical men exert their utmost skill to save the life of every one to the last moment. There is reason to believe that vaccination has preserved thousands, who from a weak constitution would formerly have succumbed to small-pox. Thus the weak members of civilised societies propagate their kind. No one who has attended to the breeding of domestic animals will doubt that this must be highly injurious to the race of man

wierd religion

and darwin argued that specialized features emerged as a coincidence.i suggest u make a thorough study before comenting

In the 19th century, when Darwin put forward his claim that living things had not been created, that they had emerged by coincidence, and that the human being had a common ancestor with animals and had emerged as the most highly developed organism as the result of coincidence, perhaps most people could not imagine what the results of this claim would be.

he said coincidence .coincidence.
