Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban starts friday..Anyone going to see it? I think I will since I’ve seen the first two

i think this one would be the best of the two, seeing the previews. it defintely seems darker and cooler. can not wait to see it! :D
The movie looks very promising, unlike the first HP movie. They changed the director to some Spanish dude and the movie is supposed to be a lot more detailed, in terms of set design/costume/special effects, and the plot line is supposedly more serious, which I'm sure older audiences will appreciate.
There was also talk that they may change the cast (Harry, Ron and Hermione) since they are now older than the characters they are having to play. This is the movie company's fault cause they are taking too long in releasing each movie. The fourth one is supposed to be out in November 2005 and who knows when the other three will follow. I think this week they made it clear that the same actors will star in all the movies, which is good cause I think it would be a bit stupid if they changed the stars half-way through the series. I don't see a problem with this since the story does get a lot more 'dark' as it evolves.
However, in comparison with the books, the movies will never be as good. Read the books. They are truly amazing!!
Well, the fifth book came out 2 years after the 4th, right? So, how would movies keep pace. The Rowling lady is slow :p
Anyway, the movies are bound to follow the storyline in the book, and in the books, you obviously notice the characters and the situations are getting more sinister each year. I guess, by the time 6th and 7th come along, it will be an official R-rated horror flick.

Three movies so far, released in 2001, 2002 and 2004. The next two are planned for 2005 and 2007.
Did you learn nothing from the Matrix … two movies released in 1 year.
ok, ok, I admit, I’m impatient.
I would rather she work on the books instead though. With that, you have to admit she is slow. The Order of the Phoenix came out last Spring but her fans are still waiting for the next book. 
Looking at the quality of two Matrix sequels, I wish they had spent some more time making those movies. 
It takes time to get things done… especially 800 page books that millions wait eagerly. Gone are the days of Erle Stanley Gardner and Agatha Christie.

It's the best book. Hopefully the movie will be good too.
The special effect definitely seem better than the first two. Not sure if I'll go watch it . Probably not.
