My daughter is 8 and saw it with me and she wasn't scared at all. I've shown her the lord of the rings trilogy as well. She still sleeps in her own room without any problems. I guess it also depends on the character of your child, wether or not it can cope with it.
Yes, that scene was very funny, when Snape hitted them on the back of their heads. What about that lense type eye of that other teacher? And wasn't that little romance of that teacher with Hagrid cute and weird at the same time, lol? He actually combed his hair and had a flower, heehee. But the funniest really were the twins.
I enjoyed it a lot. I know it was missing a lot from the book, but the general plot was preserved. Hermione is looking hot now, huh guys, am I right, am I right? There were some VERY funny scenes, Snape smacking the boys, the fall out from Ron asking Fleur out by yelling at her. Good stuff. Can't wait for the next book and the next movie.
I can't believe they're releasing it in Pakistan, although, I don't know what they do and dont' censor in Pakistan. Do they dub it in Urdu? What will they call it? "Habib puttar aur aag da katora"?
^ Why do you think Pakistanis dont get English movies? It will be a houseful. And yes some movies are dubbed in urdu like they dub movies in hong kong, african countries. No big deal.
