Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

^ I’m jealous.

I’m going to the midnight show on Saturday night … only cause I want to watch the movie in peace, no screaming, talking, grumpy kids allowed in my presence. I remember when I went to watch the first movie, there were sooo many bachay, my goodness, and they were running past us hogging seats. Some of them even left wet seats behind. :yukh:

Never again!

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Watched it yesterday (Midnight Show). Awesome!!! by far the best Potter movie.

If you don't see it, you are missing out on one of the best movies of the year.

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

it was ok and LOL @ those two indian galz.

some good effects. but overall not really my type of film.

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

It was entertaining and more of an adult audience oriented movie.First Potter movie I liked. :k:

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Heard its goign to be aired in pakistan too :hula: Cant wait for it. If it doesnt get realeased any time sooner, I will go on and get a pirated copy. It is getting GREAT reviews on every website I go too and it is not just for kids anymore.

Air Baba one, you have to be a hp fan to really get the grip of the movie. Thanks jeevay pakistan .

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

32 minutes for the show to start. Yay!! And expect a good review from me.

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Watched it yesterday and it was awesome!!

They did a really good job with the story. They included ALOT of humor though and I think it is because of the scary content of the movie but it was all good.

I didnt like the fact that they didnt make the maze as scary as it sounded in the movie. That scene was way shorter than the scenes for the other tasks, which was a bit disappointing. Also, they didnt show any of Harry’s training for the third task which I think would’ve made it even more interesting. Voldemort wasnt that scary looking either :stuck_out_tongue:

They did a really good job with the death scene of Cedric Diggory. I had tears in my eyes, it was really sad :frowning:

two thumbs up :k: :k:

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

... looking foward to watching it soon :)

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Okay, passionate summed it up quite well. I agree, the movie was awesome.
I didnt quite enjoy the last potter installment, but this brings me back on the bandwagon. As the kids have grown, the teenage angst has seeped in. I love what the characters have become but why has Hermoine grown into such a mess of awkwardness? Weasely twins are a riot. Potter actually looks good( yeah sue me, I am MJ).

Dark and gritty but well balanced by light moments.

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

the movie was good, kinda scary! the indian girls were really funny, lmao at there clothes! and the asian chick?? lol asian wizard wth!

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

haha I agree. He looked so buff in that bathtub scene :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

^ sigh

Hmmm anyhow ...the movie was good! not as good as the first one but i guess they keep getting different directors to make it thats why..not a bad movie still!

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

I went last night. Both of the 9:15 p.m. screenings were sold out, so we stood in line for the 10:30 p.m. show for over an hour. We got very good seats though. :hula:

The movie was good … I liked it a lot. I love the way they introduced Voldemort in this book as a solid villain, one that we can actually see as a physical being … they did a good job of introducing him in the movie too! Ralph Fiennes was a great choice for the role. Also, the new ‘Dr. Who’ did a good job as Crouch Jr.

I don’t like the way the movie seemed very rushed. They could have shown the character of Fleur more considering her role in the future books and they also totally cut out the Dursleys and Mrs. Weasley. There was too much they cut out, but I guess that’s only cause there is so much more in the book, they couldn’t fit it all in. Victor Krum was suprisingly cute …

Out of all the movies, this one was the best, and then the Prisoner of Azkaban.

I love the way the kids have grown and they are showing all the crushes they each have. Harry’s crush on the Irish speaking ‘Cho’ was very cute as was the under currents of love between Ron and Hermione. As usual, the twins made a lot of jokes.

I can’t wait for the next movie, the story gets even better. :hula:

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Goblet of Fire sucked quite a few dead donkey d****.

Prisoner of Azkaban remains the best movie of the series.

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

I hear you! The way Ron got jealous and the way Hermoine went ballistic on him for not asking her out before Krum, cute!

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

oh wow Mehnaz I cant wait. So far Prisoner of Askaban has been the best, it comes out on Dec 2 for us.

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

I downloaded it and yesterday I've seen it. Unfortunately, the sound quality wasn't really great, so I couldn't understand everything they were saying for a great part of the movie! Oh well, I'm planning to buy the dvd next year anyway. I think they will put the dvd's in a box and it will be a little cheaper than buying everything one by one.

Anyway, when I don't think about the fading sound, it was a great watch. The actors are acting better, which they should considering they are older now and have more experience by now.

It was dark but the atmosphere in the movie fitted the story lines well.

I haven't read the books yet and I'm not in a hurry to read any until all the movies are made and I've seen them all.
When I watched TTT and ROTK, I had read all ready read those books and then I couldn't enjoy those movies first. I kept thinking about what they had changed and what was missing. Only the second and third time watching I became less picky and from then on I could finally enjoy those movies.

There is only one movie in my life I enjoyed watching despite having read the books first and seeing the changes, that was Sense and Sensibility.

Re: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Saw it twice and loved it both times. I think my favorite scene was with them asking out the girls and Snape hitting them over the heads.

Definitely not a kids movie. Why don't parents pay attention to the PG-13 ratings? I have little 3year olds crying behind me as Harry's arm was being slashed.
