with the interaction that i had with those folks this is what i jotted down
*HP if read purely as a fiction is not bad. however the target audience is young kids and thus they are impressionable so through these books they precieve magic as something good and natural. it is certainly portraying wizards and witches in a very different light say in comparison to crucible and old tales where the word wicked and witch went hand in hand. *
What i cant understand with that argument is what about shows like bewitched, i love jeannie and stuff? HP certainly isnt the first one where magic is portrayed in good light? Secondly if these spoilers are rubbish than is it okay to lie blatantly to get people to agree with you? I dont know it is fairly twisted.

I agree with Sahar, that there r loose ends, but to be honest I dont care about those loose ends in fantasy books. As long as main plot stays intact. I am sure deathly hollows will disappoint me, just a feeling since the name was announced. I felt it wasnt something new rather what first came in mind was something close to dementors.
Also I feel Harry have to die, since he is still not a too good a magician nor too clever. & there is no dumbledoor to guide, nor snape who as a magician is another strong character. So I think Harry is unable to find all those parts where Lord V’s sprit is divided and saved, so there must be another way to kill Lord V & that may only be the death of Harry.

yay i picked up half blood prince yest.. but it's going slow so far (first 4 chapters).. too predictable... hope the pace picks up soon, else i'll have to toss it in favour of a 1000 splendid suns..

i just finished reading half blood prince only to find out that order of phoenix is being released… n i don’t remember much.. can u summarize the plot for me khumar, plzzzz?

at first i thought voldemort was the half blood prince but then that would've been like the horcrux that was the diary... can't believe Snape can be so completely evil.. and that Dumbledore could be so wrong in trusting him. if so, why did Rowling reveal his connection with the Malfoys so early in the book? there's more to this...

ohh umm let’s see.
harry’s at home, but he is not in contact from any one from the wizarding world, and he is getting really mad about it. then one day out of the blue, some dementors arrive near privet drive, harry is forced to use the expecto patronum spell, because dudley was with him at that time. (oh dudley is like super freaked out because of the dementors and harry is like wat is so traumatic in his past…and that point makes me wonder).
because harry was blamed for the charm that dobby did in the 2nd book, he gets a letter that he’s expelled from hogwarts, but he can go to hearing at the ministry. harry’s grounded. then a bunch of wizards and witches come to basically pick him up from privet drive and take them to the headquarters of the order of phoenix. order of the pheonix is sirius’ old place, and that is where he has been staying for quite some time. and continues to stay there. harry goes back to hogwarts, and since there is no new teacher for DADA, the ministry has appointed its own, this umbridge lady, who is a staunch ministry supporter, but is really evil like.
meanwhile fred and george are developing products for their joke shop, with the help of winnings from book 4. harry is absolutely sullen. a real teenager if you will. him and cho go out, but it doesn’t work out so they break up. dolores is giving more powers to malfoy and his gang cuz they are just big suckups. dolores is trying to brainwash them into loving ministry, but ministry is denying the return of voldemort, and that is pissing harry even more. so with the help of hermoine and ron, he starts DA. a bunch of students get together and learn defence against the dark arts from harry, but secretly because umbridge won’t allow it. harry gives an interview to that journalist witch…her names escapes me right now…khair but since the prophet won’t publish it, it gets published in luna’s dad’s magazine, and it’s a super hit. interveiw’s about what happened the summer before.
something happens and dumbledore is forced to flee. umbridge takes over as headmistress. no one likes her. george and fred drop out of hogwarts.
ohh ok so harry sees these dreams, and he has no idea what is happening. one night he sees this dream which is him looking through the eyes of nagini, who has just bit mr. weasely. dumbledore realizes what’s going on. harry is somehow channeling voldemort’s thoughts. intense feelings that he is feelings. so to close his mind, he has to learn occulmency, and the only one to teach him is snape. harry tries it a few times, but it doesn’t work, and he drops out.
then one night, harry dreams that he is in the department of mysteries, and siruis is being tortured by voldemort. harry is like i gotta go i gotta go to the ministry! so some of the members from DA, namely luna, ron, hermoine, neville and maybe someone else go with him the ministry. they get in the department, and it’s a trap! a fight ensues between them and the death eaters. some of the members of OoTP arrive too. sirius is there. he starts fighting with bellatrix, and during battle he falls through this arch with a curtain in it, and doesn’t come back. he’s dead.
end of the battle…voldy takes over harry’s body for a while but can’t stand in there for too long. just in time the ministry comes up, sees voldy and believes harry. the whole trap was to get the prophecy which said u who’s gonna die and all that.
harry is now not angsty anymore
