Harry Potter 7: The Deathly Hallows

Re: Harry Potter 7: The Deathly Hallows

No I don't mean that Dumbledore comes as a ghost. I meant in the sense that either some double was killed, or maybe he has some authority as a portrait. Who knows. But if you read those other books, you would get my train of thought.

The other books weren't part of the harry potter series. They are still written by JKR though. They are called F*antastic Beasts and Where to Find Them* and *Quidditch Through the Ages. *The premesis is that Harry owned these books during the Hogwarts years, and now Dumbledore is publishing the books, as they are, to raise money for this charity. You see some scribbles and tic tac toe games that Harry might have played with Ron while sitting in Charms or whatever.

Re: Harry Potter 7: The Deathly Hallows

I was just thinking that Harry doesnt have to die, if Voldemort doesnt die but loses his magic...think book 6. I always thought he would die but its too predictable

Re: Harry Potter 7: The Deathly Hallows

I think that Harry wont die but his near n dear ones will. That's why in the end it will be worse than death for him.

Re: Harry Potter 7: The Deathly Hallows

Re: Harry Potter 7: The Deathly Hallows

Now I think Dumbledoore is dead, but if he is, why is anyone questioning Snape..of course hes evil. Unless Dumbledoore somehow blocked the spell w/out speaking before he said avacadavra..I dnno I could go either way.

Re: Harry Potter 7: The Deathly Hallows

when did she confirm he was dead? Is he stupid then to have trusted snape ka bacha? It seems like snape isnt bad though..im so cnufsed :crying:

Re: Harry Potter 7: The Deathly Hallows

Book 7 book 7 bites nails

Re: Harry Potter 7: The Deathly Hallows

LOL guys I go on and on about it with everyone too. I love it when I'm around family, friends, students who also share my obsession.

Re: Harry Potter 7: The Deathly Hallows

okaaaayyyyy people. If Dumbledoore is in fact, really dead, and I mean dead dead, why are people confused about Snape? Is that website accurate? If it is, then thats a horrible way for someone like Dumbledoore to die...and if that is really the case, then i hate Rowling! Dumbledoore should not have died that way. And it means Snape is evil. Unless someone performed a nonverbal spell. But he's dead. But r u sure

Re: Harry Potter 7: The Deathly Hallows

omg i think aunt petunia is a witch, Im telling you, she knows magic

Re: Harry Potter 7: The Deathly Hallows

nahh...i think she's just evil

what might have happened is that when lily and her were kids she might have come across dumbledore or one of the teachers. or even at lily's wedding there might have been wizards and witches

Re: Harry Potter 7: The Deathly Hallows

I dont think there was any doubt that Dumbledore is dead. Snape was indeed evil. From book one. Only in book 5 was he portrayed as a real trustworthy person but even then he screwed Harry.

Re: Harry Potter 7: The Deathly Hallows

I think I am. :chupki:

Re: Harry Potter 7: The Deathly Hallows

^ And I dont Think I am… I am sure I am :bummer:

And… Ppl around me… they are all bad… :snooty: Coz they all laugh at me… kay Am I a Kid … to read these HP novels… :bummer:

Re: Harry Potter 7: The Deathly Hallows

Okay, here are some of my theories and some confirmed information either from Mugglenet.com or from JKRowling.com

Petunia
I know there is something going on between her and Dumbledore -- they share some sort of secret deal. I too was sure that she was magical and somehow denied her magical heritage because she was ashamed of it. Rowling confirmed that Petunia is NOT a Squib and she also said that she has not and will never perform magic. But I'm not sure if that means that she couldn't have given up her magical abilities early in life, even before exercising them.

Snape & Dumbledore
Okay, after reading Book 6 I developed a theory that people either found really interesting and intriguing or completely ludicrous. There were a lot of inconsistencies in Dumbledore's character throughout Book 6 and I felt certain that the Order of the Phoenix was polyjuicing as Dumbledore in order to protect him. Here are some reasons I thought of the polyjuicing theory:
- There's a reference to there being a bunch of silvery hairs tied together in Hagrid's hut that are presumed to be unicorn hairs -- but couldn't they be Dumbledore's?

- Why would Dumbledore specifically ask for Snape when returning with Harry after searching for the Horcrux? Why wouldn't he ask for any of the Order of the Phoenix? Why just Snape? UNLESS -- who we thought was Dumbledore was actually Snape disguised as Dumbledore, and who we thought was Snape was actually Dumbledore...?
- Early on in the book Harry remarks how despite all of his own failings, Dumbledore never gets upset at Harry, he never yells at him. BUT THEN when Harry has been given the task to find out what a Horcrux is and gets tied up in his own personal issues, Dumbledore gets really mad and yells at him. That seems inconsistent with Dumbledore's character (but not inconsistent with Snape's).
- When Harry barges in on Dumbledore after realizing that it was Snape that betrayed his parents to Voldemort, Dumbledore defends Snape in a very heart-wrenching way, conveying his regret, etc. Could that have really been Snape?
- When Harry and Dumbledore go for the Horcrux and Dumbledore is drinking it, he seems to be reliving a regret. He calls out and says things like, no it was my fault, take me not them, etc etc. Could that be Snape reliving his betrayal of the Potters?

If the polyjuicing theory is true, that means that Snape sacrificed himself to protect Dumbledore and to help someone (whoever is polyjuicing as Snape) infiltrate Voldemort's gang.

Of course, now she's confirmed that Dumbledore is dead (she confirmed it live, at a reading or something), so the only way that this theory works is if Dumbledore had already died and the Order of the Phoenix was polyjuicing as him so that no one would know and realize how vulnerable Harry and the Order really are w/o Dumbledore...

I still don't believe Snape or Draco are evil.

OH!!!! One more thing. When Draco is about to attack Dumbledore, Dumbledore tries to talk him out of it, showing that he understands the hold that Voldemort has over him and that there is "another way" out -- which is pretty much to fake your own death! And this is right before Dumbledore himself dies!

Re: Harry Potter 7: The Deathly Hallows

^ Okay, another idea relating to the polyjuicing theory...what if the person who was polyjuicing as Dumbledore was not from the Order after all! What if it was a Deatheater who needed Harry to get the Horcruxes before the Order found out? (I give credit to my husband for this theory :D )
