Here are a few reasons
Sometimes you go through hardships because Allah has chosen you to be a positive force in someone else’s life.
For you to listen to a loved one and say “Hey, I understand that I have been through the same thing”.
Change your perspective. There is a higher plan in everything that happens with us.
Alhumdulillah ala kulli haal.
Today I am so extremely thankful to Allah for every single “hardship” He placed in my path. SubhanAllah with time you understand there is so much hikmah behind every single “test” you go through. I say “test” and “hardship” because every single moment of our life is filled with Allah’s rehma, it all comes down to our attitude towards it and how we perceive different situations in our lives. We cannot control what happens in our life, what we can control is our “reaction” to those events.
Some benefits of the “trials and hardships” from the top of my head:
- During your hard times Allah sets apart people who genuinely care and hypocrites who turn a blind eye to your sufferings and carry on as if nothing is wrong. Hardships result in formation of some of the best and strong friendships/relations you never imagined could happen.
- Increase in Ibadah - Dua, Charity, Extra Salaah, other good deeds.
- A renewed awareness, appreciation and understanding about the pain of others.
- Disconnecting with duniya = Less materialism.
- Renewed relationship with the Qur’an.
AND SO MANY MORE!!
What have your hardships taught you?
Today, Will you take a moment, push back all the negativity and thank Allah for your entire life the way it unfolded? Including the good and the bad?
As long as you are sincerely worshipping Allah you are fulfilling your test.
Your purpose is not to be beautiful or fit or a mother or a wife.
Your ULTIMATE PURPOSE is to be an “AMATULLAH”. Everything else is secondary and an extension of Allah’s mercy in our lives.
