Harddrive making noises

Time to change it but I’ve managed to make backuping hell of a difficult task. Killed all my USB ports one by one so can’t make a system image on an external and I can’t find the right ethernet cable to connect to my desktop.

All of my images back up on Google but not in full size so I’m frantically uploading stuff on other clouds.

On top of that I’m worried about tech support messing with my data. Not that there’s anything important or interesting. But still…

Re: Harddrive making noises

If you are feeling particularly adventurous, get thisfrom Amazon; get the disk drive out of your laptop, hook it up to your desktop using those cables. Clone the whole disk, put it back in the laptop.

Re: Harddrive making noises

Laptop is dell. And those adapters look so sweet. I would buy all the adapters in the world if I could.

Ugh, currently signing out of everything and exporting bookmarks. I’m really worried about data privacy issues but thankfully I’ve got a bazillion pictures of old babas so it would be mind numbing for anyone trying to steal my data.

Re: Harddrive making noises

I have another suggestion: CrashPro… if I remember correctly it is free for personal use.. maybe you can do a quick backup and restore it on one of your PCs, and delete the account?

Re: Harddrive making noises

The reason why I couldn’t do a basic system restore is because my USBs weren’t working and there was no space in my computer to save an image of the windows. So without an external and crap Internet my data was going no where. My over zealous dad decided to tell the USB fixer to transfer the data. Well they transfered the data all right, on a new windows  Never sending anyone to do my work ever again. At least I still have my old harddrive. I’m going back to buy my own adapters. Common sense is dead.
