Hard Disk error

So what happens is..

chk dsk starts everytime i start my computer…like even after proper shutdown..

and its always one specific logical drive D…that gets the error…every time…

chkdsk fixes it…but after shutdown it happens again.

back up and do a soft format

^any idea…why only one logical drive gets the issue??

the drive makes noise too…but only till the scan finishes…after that…there is no noise when computer is running…for hours even..

load shedding… improper reboot… bad sector

Clicking noises? Its probably dying… replace it.

Or you can try check disk again using this at command prompt (not sure if pc already does this):

chkdsk /R /F

i formatted the drive…its gone now…thanks
