haram

i couldnt think of a better title..I was wondering why food cooked in the same oil as lets say non-zabiha chicken is haram? or why pizza cut with the same knife as pepporoni pizza is haram? i mean if we look at like this then everything is haram

Re: haram

If you don't wash your utensils then yes. Why is everything haram?

Re: haram

wat about the oil thing?

well we eat out alot..chinese buffets..thai places and how many do u think wash their uttencils and who knows wat goes on back in the kitchen? I know that we ask pizza hut to do it and i know burger king uses different oils but i dont know about other places and come on places that cant even give good service, how r they gonna use different utensils?

Re: haram

Oil - because particles of the non-halal food will break off while being fried, and a portion of those will most likely end up in otherwise halal food fried in the same oil.

The utensil/knife issue - if the utensil cuts through a piece of haraam material, some of that haraam material will loosely adhere to the utensil. When the unwashed utensil is used to cut otherwise halal food, that adhering haraam material will be deposited on the halaal food.

Re: haram

Simple as that.

Re: haram

well how do we know wat goes on in the kitchen? and do u guys honestly think ALL those places wash utencils or their hands for that matter when cooking different things?

Re: haram

Hence I strongly dislike eating out in non-halal restaurants, even if I order veggie or seafood.

Re: haram

I order pizza from pizza hutt all the time. you can politely ask them to leave the pizza uncut. buy a pizza cutter and cut it yourself. the idea is, if you can work it out to make it hallal for you with such little effort, why not do it.

Re: haram

well thats something that can be done..how do u know they changed gloves aftre making a pepproni pizza?

Re: haram

Thats why I order the pepperoni pizza uncut and then pick the pepperoni pieces out myself. This I dont have to worry about the pizza handler and I get to zibah the pizza myself.

Re: haram

^ so it becomes a pepperroni flavored pizza.

Re: haram

^ I don't know about pepperoni. As far as KFC or Micky D's I just say Bismillah and eat the thing.

Re: haram

^ I am not sure if that makes it halal.

Re: haram

well...at that point i thank my mom who never let me eat outside.. in my days back in highschool ..i just went to burger king and some restaurants...but now its been a while like 2 or 3 years that i havent paid a visit to any restaurant....My mom cook fabulous ;)

Re: haram

If u were a vegetarian would u b comfortable being served with a spoon dripping with blood?
