If someone eats haram deliberately, knowingly then certainly he has done sin and will be answerable for it. but if he ate it unknowingly, being coerced or under dire circumstances where he had no other option then he is not responsible for such an act.

All kind of meat will shrink if you roast it on open flame. The science behind it is that most meat have upto 75 percent water and if you roast it on open flame then it will shrink no mater it cake from zabiha or murdaar.
Same is true if you make a salan out of it.

I have no doubts about wisdom of Imam Jaffar Sadiq(RA) , but I do have doubt about this test coming from him considering how wise he was.

Well you can recognise Haram gosht from correctly zibbah gosht in early stages. The blood vessels are less pronounced on the latter and the former is much thicker texture, like swollen meat. But once cooked you probably wont be able to tell the difference unless you like your meat rare.

Haram or Halal is very different from zabiha or non-zabiha. What are we talking about here??

Well I thought when you zibah then it becomes Halal right?

Or are we talking about haram meat altogether? Sometimes you can tell from texture but bones are the best give-away. Hence I always eat a dish with bones.

Yes and no.

Some school of thoughts consider shell fish to be makrooh and some consider it haram, but we never do zabihah of halal or haram fish.

If I put real crab meat vs artificial crab meat (that I heard is made out of cod fish), how can one differentiate?

Seafood and processed meat is hard to identify sometimes… not like the chicken or goat… :cb:

See Arab (and a lot of other people) would eat meat from anywhere as long as its not pork or comes from a already dead animal. They believe that only Pork, Alcohol (and other things that are said "Haram" in Quran) can't be consumed. As long as meat is not pork you can eat it, doesn't matter if its zabiha or non-zabiha. You can eat meat processed by Ehle Kitab (Jews and Christians). Google this and you'll find tons of information about their school of thought. I used to live in a small city where the masjid goes by what Arabs believe. Also, because its a Fatwa by their Imam in Saudia Arabia (their school of thought), its wrong to say what Arabs are doing is wrong. They are following an Imam. If its wrong, then the Imam will be questioned.

apke lia mera jawab ha janab zabeha jab zibah kia jata hato us ke under khoon rawan hota ha aur zibah karne par ap us ko 6 ghante bhi dhoop mai rakh lai tab bhi woh sarta nahi ha kuen ke us ka khon aik he wakt main tez raftar se nikal jata ha .....

jab ke murdar ke mout ke bad jab usa kata jata ha tous ka khoon ruka hoa hota ha aur katne par nikalta nahi ha aur ye to aap sab hi jante hain ke marne ke bad lash phoolte ha aur woh phoolte ha garme ke waja se kuenke us main garme ke waje se gases banna shuro ho jate ha ....

to jab aik pak gosht jis main khon nahi hota woh jab garme ya agg mai rakha jata ha to sukarta ha kuen ke ab us ander sirf pani hi bacha ha..
jabke murdar gosht jab agg pe rakha jae to woh garme ke waja se methane gases se phool jata ha aur methane gases ke lia garme gand (khoon) aur is tarha ke chezai darkar hoteh...

waise ager ab bhi ap ka koi sawal ha to mai jawabdene ke lia tayar hoon....

sir halal aur haram chezoon ke list botat bari ha magar halal gosht bhi is hi list mai ata ha ....

I know my science. Any meat zabiha or moordaar , you put out in the open will start rotting in 4 hours. Presence of blood is not a pre-condition for meat rotting.
It is bacteria in that rotting meat which will create methane gas not the blood in that meat. Bacteria will start eating any meat which is left out in the open blood or no blood in it.
There is nothing in the moordaar gosht which will start holding methane in it and turn it into a balloon if it is cooked over open flame.

To you I will say " Azmaish shart hay ", you can do this experiment yourself. As I said I have nothing against Imam Jaffar Sadiq(RA) I respect him from core of my heart.
