As your complaint is directed to one of my forums, i’ll answer.
Saying salaam is not haraam in cafe, so please refrain from making such sweeping statements.
In the past, the previous Cafe team recognised that many/all threads would get derailed with people posting their greetings, as it would then lead to “how are you”, “oh i’m fine , and you?” etc and so forth, thus defeating the purpose of said thread and the original topic being lost under pages and pages of the aforementioned. To ameliorate this, the moderators introduced the “The” thread, where members could meet and greet each other till their hearts content, thus avoiding any other threads in cafe from going off-topic.
Hope you can appreciate this and i welcome any response.

anyway… do whatever you wanna do … I came here after a long time to see my ‘friends’ and if something positive done to attract old guppies … but I doubt it will happen with same kind of people and mentality!
