How a Haqq Meher is given? is there some written process for that or he just has to say the words and give the money to his wife?

its all written in nikahnama form,there r diffrent types of haq mehar moyajal,ghair moyajal..

It should be agreed upon ahead of time, and then its written on the nikkahnama. It can also be decided ahead of time if the full amount is going to be given up front (after the nikkah) or will it be deferred until later (a time that the husband and wife will mutually agree on), or it can be decided that it will be given only upon divorce. You can also give a partial amount after the nikkah and defer a portion of it. This all should be discussed before the nikkah.

Whatever is decided needs to be written on the nikkahnama. For instance, if its decided that all is going to be given upfront, that needs to be written, ex. $10,000 given upfront. Or if you decide to take half now and half deferred, it should be written, $5000 given upfront, $5000 deferred (there is correct wording for this, I just cant remember it now).

As Saima said, Meher can be divided into Mo'ajjal and Mo'wajjal. First one means in haste, that is - it should be given asap. Second one is in case of divorce. I heard from scholars that even after nikah, dulhan can forgive the first type, but second type is her right in case of divorce.
