I would like to wish my Jewish friends a very Happy Sukkot. It begins tomorrow.
The Festival of Sukkot (pronounced “Sue COAT”) begins on Tishri 15, the fifth day after Yom Kippur. It is quite a drastic transition, from one of the most solemn holidays of the year to one of the most joyous. This festival is also referred as the Season of Rejoicing. Sukkot lasts for seven days. The name of the holiday is frequently translated “The Feast of Tabernacles”.
This holiday has dual significance: historical and agricultural. The holiday commemorates the forty-year period during which the children of Israel were wandering in the desert, living in temporary shelters. Sukkot is also a harvest festival, and is sometimes referred to as the Festival of Ingathering.
What the hell is going on? Every time I wish happy holidays to my Jewish Friends something horrible happens. I feel solely responsible for attack on the US Navy Ship. I will stop wishing Jews happy holidays.
Why is that you have to wish good whatever to your JEWISH friends here on gupshup, why can’t you send them post cards or something? If you really care about them, you would say directly to them, I don’t see any Jewish participant here or even who reads this stuff.
This isn’t time for wishes, its time to concentrate their attrocites that they are doing in Mid-East.
Watcher, how many Palestinians participate here? Why sympathize so much for them on Gupshup? May be you can send them sympathies by e-mail, or still better go and fight with them. Instead of giving me your 3rd rated advice, save it for yourself.

Hey friend, don't get ignited sir; I understand you have love for Jewish people. I have love for my Palestinian Muslim Brothers. I will/can support them in ANY way I want to.
But, opening up posts like these to ignite more hate between Jewish and Muslims is pretty stupid idea. No it won't get 133 posts this time buddy. Take the post-card love and keep it at your place. WE DON'T WANT TO SEE THIS WISHING HAPPY HOLIDAYS HERE!!! These people are killing innocent civilians and all you can think of is wishing them a holiday. GROW UP, and try to think like a HUMAN, those being killed by Jews are HUMANS!
I mean, you never let an opportunity pass to wish your jewish friends on these forums, and then also to educate the gupshup participants about jewish culture and traditions. After the ‘Rosh’ thread (4 pages, no less!), this is another one. And then you also take pains to defend your posts
*PS. BTW muslims everywhere are one Ummah, so discussing the plight of Palestinians seems justififed. But jews… is there any jew here to know of your commitment to wish them?
I'm completely baffled and confused. A handfull of jews in the world are just far too many for us one billion muslims worldover.
Why are we letting them kill our innocent muslim women and childeren? Are we now to be considered 'NAMARAD'(impotent)? Why are'nt my muslim brothers coming forward to fight these jews?
I just can't understand how so few jews can kick us one billion muslims on the bum and we are just sitting there accepting it all, letting them carry on with what ever they want to do.
May be their claim of being the God's chosen people is true after all and I suppose God must be on their side as well.

Anyways.. I read up on history books.. When Israel ws created the province/ colony was separated in two countries.. the Jewish Israel and the Palestenian Jordan..
If you look at the map of Israel at that point you would see that major thought had gone into giving most religious muslim sites to Jordan (the Palestenian State).
It is the fault of our stupid muslim brothers for waging war without thinking it through. There is time for war.. when you have prepared for it.. but that was not it.. what was the outcome.... the muslims last most of these religious sites to Israeli control.. Geee and why do we blame Israel for it?
These sites will be back in Muslim control.. the day they deserve to hold them.. otherwise they will not have learnt anything..
