What “Mother” Means
“Mother” is such a simple word,
But to me there’s meaning seldom heard.
For everything I am today,
My mother’s love showed me the way.
I’ll love my mother all my days,
For enriching my life in so many ways.
She set me straight and then set me free,
And that’s what the word “mother” means to me.
Thanks for being a wonderful mother, Mom!
vaise, i believe mother's day must be everyday. i lost my mom at a very early age * so i do miss her everyday and i understand full well how blessed are those who still have their mothers with them.
i wrote this quatrain a few years ago, i wud like to share with u LiPpY:
ammaaN kii hii aaGhosh meN shaKhs palaa hai
vaalidah kaa adab vaalid saaHab se sivaa hai
ammii kii itaa'at na karuuN maiN to Khataa hai
zer-e-qadam-e-vaalidah firdaus-e-'alaa hai! :)
translation:
every human is raised in his/her mom's lap
respects of the mother is more than the father
if i do NOT respect/serve my mother, its my LOSS
for the Heaven lies under the feet of mothers :)
