Bangladesh got independence from Pakistan on December 16, 1971. In Pakistan, it is known as fall of Dhaka.
Like most of south east asian countries. Its a developing country.
Little info :

Flag Description:
green with a large red disk slightly to the hoist side of center; the red sun of freedom represents the blood shed to achieve independence; the green field symbolizes the lush countryside, and secondarily, the traditional color of Islam
Innocent Muslim Bengali men, women and children went through a lot at the hands of our filthy Pakistan generals/army.
Pakistan should officially apologize and pay ransom/fines.
Most our people in West Pakistan knew nothing about the reality of what was going on in Bengal, some still don't know and wonder why Bengalis are apprehensive and reserved towards us.
So many Kalima-reading Muslim men and boys were martyred and Muslim women raped, may Allah bless them and give the Pakis what they deserve, ameen.
Happy Liberation Day to Bangladeshis. I don’t think it should be called “independence” day. They were always independent; but the West didn’t keep its side of the deal. I hope in our lifetime we see a United Bengal and a United Punjab. Whosever idea was to breakup the country based on such a stupid concept as religion is probably rotting in hell now.
In Pakistan, a common saying is that “Bengali is Ghaadaar” – “Bengali is Traitor”. This whole rift was created by Urdu language (you can call it a Curse from Allah :swt: ) . Bengali people are very proud and they didn’t wana be bothered with an imported language or culture. But we can hope that future generations will learn a lesson from this. I pray that both Bengals are United under Bharat Mata, and same thing happens to Punjab.
Budhay, don’t forget the politics of which province decided to massacre Bengalis and was arrogant enough to not give power to the result of elections. I don’t want to discuss that as your a$$ only wants to diss Urdu and Urdu speaking people.
Congrats to Bengladeshis on their independence day.
Its very depressing to see how looked down the people of Bangladesh are.Last time I brought the subject up with an aunty she nearly threw me out of her house.
Digital Yaar, if east Bengal was in Saudi Arabia, I would want Bangladeshis to be part of Saudi Arabia. It just happens that half of their brothers live in India, so it makes sense for both to Unite, either in or out of India. I wish the same for Punjab. Either Sikh become Pakistani, or Pakistani Punjabis become Siksh (I mean united with their brothers on the other side).
I have nothing against Islam, I just don’t want it to be basis for whom should I live with. I wana live with my own people, and not Sindhis or Baloochis.

I like MadhanRee's idea of a Greater Punjab, in fact I think we should have countries based on Indic, Iranian and Dravidian lines in South Asia, that doesn't mean to say I agree with him demeaning religion, but republics were never meant to be a substitute for ones nation (ethnicity/language/tribe) or caliphate (union/ummah like the EU) for that matter.

To you your ideas are better, to religious ppl religion makes more sense then mere geography drawn by man-fights.
I have noticed a lot of Bengalis here in the US know how to speak or understand Urdu. Maybe not the best, but they do. I probably just met the ones who did, so my observation might be biased.
Ranjhan Pakistan always had good relations with Bangladesh and we are first to help them in the time of natural disaster and are there to support them whether it is sports or international issues.
**Madhanee paye ** I think it should start with United Independent Kashmir :k:
Will you suggest a flag ? (which is appropriate for viewing of children and also not offensive to other ethnic and religious groups).
I think I am asking too much I should understand you limitations. :flower2
