Re: Happy Independence day, PAKISTAN!!!
well I am glad and thankful that partition happened (we lost the track after partition but that is a different debate) and today we are free in Pakistan but i do believe that we wrote the wrong history, we promoted the wrong history, and we taught the wrong history to our generations on both sides of the border…i can at least state the correct version on my side.
by any means, i am not downplaying those who lost their lives including my family members … i am actually crying for them but it is morally and historically wrong to portray Muslim deaths as if they were fighting for a certian cause in those fateful 3 months. those poor souls had no choice but to leave their homes and migrate suddenly out of nowhere. they did not sign up for such horrendous and ill-planned partition execution.
just go to youtube and see the interviews of survivors, read any text and you will find out that it was the poor execution of the partitions plan which forced such a massive genocide on both sides.
and like i said before, Muslim have at least the luxury to label their deaths as sacrifices to get their dreamland Pakistan, but what about those hundreds and thousands of innocent hindus and sikhs who were murdered and raped by Muslims? in which category to place deaths of those innocent hindus and sikhs who did not demand the partition and look at the price they paid, millions of rapes, deaths, blood.
woh kiss kay haat par apna lahoo talash karien? just a historical question. sorry for being a party-pooper but i don’t know when else to raise such questions.
