Happy Earth Day! I am aware that Earth Day is not celebrated in Pakistan to the extent that it is celebrated here, but it’s all in the spirit of us belonging to earth, breathing the same air, and sharing the same sun and moon.

Wish Earth Day was celebrated 365 days a year. Our US per capita carbon footprint is the highest. We can and should do better. Start with elimination of plastic bags, gas guzzling vehicles, sprinkled systems in desert areas, high end hotels being environmentally conscious, recycle. Just one day a year is too little. If only the kids of the future could enjoy the current climate.

It started in 1970 and is celebrated on the 22nd of April.

The best way to celebrate earth day is not to drive to the location. Cut down on fuel usage and emissions.
Some examples of irresponsible behavior
Double bagging yard waste!! So the trash does not smell. Two plastic bags wasted.
applying weedkiller. Especially on concrete. Instead of pulliing that random weed out
Going to drive through and idling
idling vehicle while Whiting for spouse to return from bank.
Drinking water from small plastic bottles.
Congressmen using styrofoam cups. Republicans insisted on it.
Today grocery shopping. 90% of shoppers using plastic bags.
